"Quick Note from My Hutong Hideaway Just left the tiny hotel tucked in Nanluoguxiang—still smiling. Free coffee, cookies, and afternoon tea on tap. The front desk felt like a mini-UN: English flowed, and they snagged me Forbidden-City tickets in two minutes. Handed over dirty laundry at breakfast; it came back clean and folded at dusk—zero charge. Mattress = cloud, pillow = marshmallow, sleep = instant. Warmest little base in Beijing—see you next time. "

I took a chance and booked us a location that was off the touristy spot where all the big hotels were - so glad I did - VUE is a hidden gem.
