"Got to the hotel and and asked if we could have food, the guy who checked us in , said I’ll show you to your room and then I’ll find out , he never came back to us, so ended up having a bag of crisps The other staff was very polite and very helpful Went to bed and the room was nice , but after falling a sleep I woke up around 3am feeling very cold as the heating had been turned off Breakfast wasn’t very nice , bacon was very fatty and the sausage didn’t taste that great, mushrooms was very bland "

"The lodge has a lot of potential and is set in a beautiful, peaceful location that’s perfect for a quiet getaway. The surroundings were serene, and the atmosphere was relaxing, which we really appreciated. However, the cleanliness was disappointing. There was noticeable dust on furniture and surfaces, and we found cobwebs in the corners of the room and near the ceiling. It made the space feel less well-maintained than expected. A more thorough cleaning routine would significantly improve the overall experience. On a positive note, the staff were polite and helpful, and the basic amenities were adequate for a short stay. With better attention to housekeeping, this lodge could easily provide a much better experience. For now, it was an average stay."

"We had a wonderful stay at the Barns, the room was beautiful. We came for two nights break for our anniversary and cant fault anything. After a day exploring was lovely to head back to the room. Breakfast was amazing and cooked to order. Thank you for a lovely stay"

"It was the best 4 night stay, the pictures do not do it justice. The host was so lovely, helpful and available when I stopped the shower working by accident! We were left with a hamper, which was such a kind but very welcome touch! The underfloor heating was such a treat, but occasionally the house did get a bit cold, that is the only (very minor ) critique I have! Thank you so so much. Worth adding that it was very very clean and the kitchen was well equipped and we stayed in every night as we were able to! Absolutely best stay ever! "

"The property is in a lovely location providing a relaxing stay in the countryside overlooking a small pool frequented by wildlife. The is plenty of space for 4 people and all amenities provided for your stay. It is made clear that there is no WiFi at the property, but also the phone signal is quite variable, so just be prepared for this when staying at the house. There is an excellent library of VHS and DVDs to watch! We really enjoyed our visit, just one or two little details would make it excellent such as providing larger towels. We would recommend this as a great property from which to explore the area."
