I had an amazing experience staying at this hotel as a solo traveller. The staff were super friendly and helpful. My room was beautiful with a great view and it was a very comfortable stay. I had a solo lunch at the restaurant Chop and it was fab! A short walk to many restaurants, bars and shops and a great place to stay to explore the city.

Staff members are mostly kind, friendly and helpful. There were two gals that seemed more interested in their phones and each other than guests, not at all what I’m used to in Glasgow, but honestly the rest of the staff more than compensated.
The rooms could be enhanced with a mini fridge and/or a hairdryer but I think this is normal for the basic hotels in Scotland . I loved the idea of a free bevy if you choose not to have room service, but if two guests are staying, it would be nice to have free bevy’s for both.
The room was clean though and provided the essentials so I guess that’s what I paid for and I realize accommodation in Scotland is very pricey, so I’m sure this hotel is as good as any other in this price range.

"We arrived late, they were just about to wrap up serving dinner. Manager said just sit at the bar - have a drink and eat your dinner first then we will take care of the luggages. They took our order and served us delicious steaks, wine and then helped us with our luggage. They did all this smoothly ..."
