A beautiful hotel in a quiet neighbourhood of Sliema, it is perfect walking distance to Balluta bay, St Julian’s and Sliema. There are many lovely restaurants in the immediate local area, plus little mini marts selling bottled water and snacks. We found all of the staff here were really friendly and helpful, we had breakfast on a couple of the days and it did not disappoint. They had a wide variety of food to cater to all and offered a variety of hot and cold drinks. The hotel room was beautiful and spotless, with a mini bar (paid extras) and complimentary toiletries in the bathroom. House keeping were brilliant, very trustworthy and worked around your needs. Local transport links are just around the corner with multiple bus stops along the road, and a ten minute walk to the ferry at Sliema, that gets you to Valetta in less than 15 minutes and is much more enjoyable than the bus journey! I would highly recommend this hotel and would visit again when I next stay in Malta! Ten out of ten.

Nice old property with lovely staff. Very convenient for buses to Valletta and not too far from ferry to Valletta. Had good sized room at front with lovely sun terrace. At least one armchair in the room would have been nice. Shower was excellent as were tea making facilities. Convenient to have breakfast on premises. I would stay here again

Lovely property and good location. Room very spacious and clean. Fast internet and super friendly staff. Only criticism was the noise, mainly from other guests. Unfortunately they let their children plan in the corridor, lots of screaming and laughter, at 11pm for quite some time and the staff didn’t seem to do anything. I waited for around 40 minutes and was about to get up to call reception and they went quiet thankfully. I thought the staff would have intervened by this point as you could hear it through every floor as the place has beautiful original flooring that let’s sound carry. Other than this slight issue, a wonderful stay. Many thanks

Palazzo Violetta is a wonderful small and private hotel situated between Slliema and St Julians. The rooms are very comfortable and the staff extremely helpful.

The staff was amazing! Very welcoming and committed to caring for guest needs. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. A good deal for the price. The downside for me was location. The hotel is located in a residential area. You have to walk or taxi to the waterfront or nicer restaurants.

Friends 4 night stay in November
Diego and Jurgen were responsive to any requests - they made check-in and check-out a pleasure - organised our taxi to the airport and were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The hotel is clean, beds comfy, and kitchenette well equipped. We loved our stay. We are in our 60’s and reasonably fit - but Palazzo Violeta is about a ten minute walk uphill from Billuto Bay, so that’s something to be aware of. To us, it was worth the walk.

The central location in Sliema was excellent for what we wanted to do and see. The staff were very helpful to guide us around the area. A small negative was the overall size of the bedroom which was on the small side.

Fantastic hotel, great service and location

Great location to explore Valletta and St Juliens
We went off season - Dec, so it was quiet. We were offered a free room upgrade as there was work on in the new wing.. the room was spacious, with a balcony, a well stocked bar and a good bathroom. There was a small pool at the back which was usable even though it was cold. Great base to discover the heart of the old architecture in the area, and very walkable to the Valletta ferry and the bars / restos in St. Julien. Staff were polite and helpful... The bits which could be improved - clear pricing on the use of the car park >> The hotel charged 30% more than the quoted price on hotels.com, and despite having double glazed balcony doors, we felt the room had fine dust on the floor...

I loved the fact that the hotel is tucked away in a residential area so wonderfully quiet but a 10 minute stroll away from restaurants, bars, public transport, the coast, etc. The hotel is small, staff and owner so friendly and helpful and atmosphere is very relaxing. Perfect!

Location was excellent! By walking downhill, I had access to St Julian as well as Silema. Everywhere I could wish for. Sydney, a staff member, directed me to restaurants and places of interest. The pool was lovely. Airconditioning worked great. And, the room was well equipped, high ceilinged, clean and comfortable.

Lovely hotel but room spoilt by having a wet room shower that had not been installed properly, so water moved across floor to flood into bedroom. Attempt to fix it after I mentioned it was another bodged job. It was not a big deal and I just laid a barrier of towels across the doorway to catch the flooding, but a shame fir such a nice room and hotel otherwise.

A beautiful boutique hotel in Sliema. Such lovely staff and so picturesque. I would happily stay again as the room was big, the service was amazing and it just ticked so many wonderful boxes.

Good quality .
The Hotel is in a narrow residential street. The hotel is small at 20 rooms but feels very well laid out and spacious. As with all Malta building work can be heard nearby but not very close so as to shake the building. The reception staff were very helpful and we were made to feel very welcome and comfortable. Breakfast was simple enough to order and the quality was very good.

Beautiful and conveniently located boutique hotel
Beautiful boutique hotel with lots of ambiance, very clean, nice check-in, comfortable beds, nice continental and cooked-to-order egg breakfast, nice pool, tastefully decorated rooms and public area of hotel, nice artwork. Convenient location in Sliema, bordering Gzkira and St. Julians. Walking distance to Sliema ferries, Balluta Bay, all major bus stops, shopping and restaurants. Fast connection to Valetta by bus. It's a bit of a walking distance uphill from Sliema Ferries, but very manageable. Some nights we did not have hot water for a shower, but water was always hot in the mornings. All in all a great experience in a one of a kind beautiful and stylish boutique hotel. Would definitely recommend and would definitely stay there again.
