"We had the best time at the little house. It was quiet and peaceful. It was just what we needed. Being able to cook on the grill and eat outside on the deck was perfect. Nights were spent by the fire pit. We did drive to smith mountain state park and hiked one of the trails. Perfect weather too. We will definitely be returning. We highly recommend this house for anyone that wants to get away from the stressors of ever day life for a few days. "

"This stay was nothing short of perfect, in large part due to Melba and her family were incredible hosts. My husband and I drove up from TN for a family reunion, and loved having a place to stay all to ourselves. The location was great--only about 20 minutes to where we needed to go in any direction. "The cabin was very nice. The only trouble we experienced was when we arrived at about 345. We had absolutely no cell service no phone service. Nothing to get us into the house fortunately, the girl that does the cleaning stop by and was able to get us into the house and she contacted her mother who came down and after that everything was fine we enjoyed our visit."

"What an amazing stay! The house was super comfy and so cute. So quiet and peaceful. It was the perfect getaway from hustle and bustle. We swam in the lake both at the house and also at Gaston day area. Ate at Suka sushi and it was fantastic! The owner was extremely responsive and checked on us at arrival. The owner also recommended some antique store and I got some sweet finds. Definitely a stay again kind of place!"
