The staff were all attentive and helpful. The bedding and towels were spotless. We had an amazing view of the bay, having booked a superiour room for our anniversary. I must say that the hotel was undergoing some works, so maybe my review for 03/07/26 will not be relevant for all my points in the future. We could not find a place to park, had to park in the road and move the car later. The main entrance was taped off and we entered into the dining/bar area. My first impressions were how dirty the carpets were, especially leading to the reception desk. There was a lift to the upper floors which was clean. Our room had a refurbished bathroom, but nowhere in there to put anything, even in the shower, other than our toothbrushes on the sink unit. We did remove the tiny bar of soap and plastic "glasses" that were on the toilet cistern but realised any creams, deodorant etc were in danger of falling into the toilet pan. Most places have soft close toilet seats, as the refurbishment was quite recent we were disappointed to find it chipped and old. Only one hand towel for the 2 of us was a bit stingy. The room was an ok size, but the carpet ill fitting, the paintwork grubby and poor, we were unable to open any window, they were painted shut, that did not stop them from rattling in the wind. One chair almost broken. We had seen online we could have Lamb Shank, not so, discontinued a year ago and the Chicken Stroganoff overcooked couldn't' cut it. I have no room to write more detail

The staff were excellent especially the guys in the restaurant, real people you could talk to and were very attentive. Makes such a difference

The room was great. Comfy bed, king size, shower was fantastic pressure and plenty of wash stuff available Check in was a joke, if its known the system and staff cannot handle busier event days, having guests wait an hour to check in after check on opens for their rooms to be ready is a failing on management. If you're booking a stay during an event, arrive an hour after check in to avoid feeling pie'd off

Great hotel, excellent staff a very relaxing place to stay.

The staff was very helpful and answered all of our questions. They went out of the way to make sure we had everything we needed.
