Hyatt Regency Hill Country Resort and Villas

10/10 Excellent

"The property is lovely, and we enjoyed our time there. The food was a highlight. Breakfast was excellent, the buffalo at Antlers was perfect, and the barbecue we had at the bar was easily top ten. The service didn’t match the food. Our breakfast waitress seemed overwhelmed, and the language barrier made it difficult to communicate. The service at Antlers and the bar was also inattentive and disorganized. We did notice another waiter at Antlers who was friendly and engaging with everyone; we wished he had been ours. The extra charges were frustrating. Paying $25 to self-park or $50 for valet felt excessive on top of an already expensive stay. We had a great time overall, but better service and fewer added fees would make this place a perfect ten. We probably could have taken a trip to Mexico for less."

"Could not believe Ambler did not offer rooftop service on Labor Day weekend!! And they did not inform the front desk, they were clueless. Guests had to go all the way down to the bar in their dripping wet bathing suits just to get a cold drink. Such a shame since we picked this hotel specifically so we could order drinks at the pool. What a disappointment for my daughter's birthday!"

"Do not pay for breakfast through Expedia.the hotel knows nothing about it and now I have to apply for a refund. Hotel is very dated. It must have been a very plush place at one time. It is still nice and the staff were very pleasant. Most of the electrical plugs are on the lamps the bed is Heavenly."
