Sparks Street Mall

We stayed here while visiting the museums and doing some sightseeing in the area. We had a split-level room, which was clean, comfortable, and well stocked. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. The pool looked a little bigger in the pictures, but the kids still had a great time! One thing I really appreciated was how clean the pull-out couch was. When we opened it up, there was no dust or anything left behind. I’ve stayed at plenty of places where the pull-out couch seems to get completely neglected, so that was a nice surprise. The hotel was easy enough to get to and worked really well for what we were doing. Overall, we had a great stay and I’d definitely consider staying here again when we’re in the area!

I had a situation where I informed the staff who laughed at me, berated me and said I was at fault. The situation is the hotel staff did not prepare the room properly and the fridge was in the off position but I didn’t notice until I had already eaten dairy and gotten sick after being in the pool and enjoying amenities four hours later from improperly stored food. We had to throw all the food out and my daughter ate granola bars til the end of the trip. The front desk manager talked over me, and demanded a dr note or hospital visit stay. I said no one goes to the hospital for diahrea. He said he knows about food safety and it was too soon to get food poisoning but I know otherwise. I ended the call after he said there is nothing he can do and it’s my fault for not checking the fridge was turned on.
