Top Spot Climbing Centre Hotel Reviews
Village Hotel Cardiff
10/10 Excellent
"Lovely clean tidy room, all the amenities anyone needs. Will definitely be staying again"
Llechwen Hall Hotel
8/10 Good
"We had a lovely stay at Llechwen Hall. The accommodation was excellent our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable, and the food was a real highlight, beautifully prepared throughout our stay. The one area that let things down slightly was the atmosphere among staff. It felt like there wasn't much warmth or teamwork between evening team members, and unfortunately this isn't the first time we've noticed this on a visit. A few staff members came across as somewhat forced in their friendliness, rather than genuine. That said, the quality of the rooms and food meant we still had an enjoyable stay overall, and we'd consider returning."
Gwaelod Y Garth Inn
10/10 Excellent
"We had a wonderful time at the hotel. The room was spacious and spotless with the most incredible views out of the window. The staff couldn’t have been more friendly or accommodating (we were coming down for a wedding and needed an early check in and taxi sorting). We had one of best breakfasts ever, it was truly delicious. We loved it so much we are looking for reasons to come down again and stay."
De Courceys Manor Cottages
8/10 Good
"Room was clean, well maintained, nice hot shower & comfy bed. Tea, coffee, biscuits and a decent size cup are always a plus ! Solo female travelling for work. Only stayed for one night but had everything I needed. Felt reasonably safe. Only issue was the 2nd cottages directions sign was on the right hand side of road & obscured by a tree branch, so I didn’t see it & my sat nav took me left at the end of the rd & up a very tight private road to a bungalow based on the post code. Not ideal …. But once I found it, everything was fine. Would stay again"
Little Cottage, Big Character! A great base for exploring South Wales
8/10 Good
"The property was lovely, at the top of steep roads, so difficult to walk locally if you have a disability. The owner left us some milk in the fridge plus a packet of choc biscuits which were very much appreciated. The stairs are narrow & on a curve, so it was difficult getting the handluggage upstairs. The bedrooms & the beds are comfortable, but without mirrors to put on makeup or to check your outfit. The lounge is lovely, but would benefit from a lamp as there is no lighting in this area. There is a washing machine, but no airer. The garden has wooden decking & steps. It is a lovely luttle area with a Bistro table & 2 chairs. Overall we enjoyed our 2 night stay"
Cottage with breathtaking views of the Rhondda Valley.
8/10 Good
"Kleines, gemütliches Ferienhaus in einer Häuserzeile einer ehemaligen Kohlebergbaustadt, gleich gegenüber dem Bergbaumuseum. Positiv hervorzuheben sind die Sauberkeit der Unterkunft und die Kommunikation mit der hilfsbereiten Gastgeberin, die immer innerhalb weniger Stunden geantwortet hat. Ein paar mehr Töpfe und eine Teekanne würden das Haus noch perfekter machen."
Secluded Little hideaway in the beautiful mountains of Llanwonno. Dog friendly.
10/10 Excellent
"Fran is lovely and very helpful, and the accomodation is very well equipped and comfortable"
2 bedroom accommodation in Cardiff

Caerphilly Castle
9.4/10 (71 reviews)
Caerphilly Castle is a huge medieval castle in the South Wales, located in Caerphilly, seven and a half miles north of Cardiff. The castle stands out from other Welsh castles thanks to two distinct factors. The first of these is its sheer size; it is the second largest castle in the UK after Windsor Castle, occupying 30 acres.
