Owners were lovely and the guesthouse was spotless. Room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The in room tray was well supplied with tea/coffee etc. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful.

Great room at the back so no traffic noise, all clean and tidy, good breakfast in a box, plenty of leaflets if needed for ideas on what to do plus bus timetables and taxi information

Everything was great, loved the breakfast basket every morning. We had a small issue with our room on the 1st night, we let the staff know next morning, within minutes it was dealt with. Super helpful and friendly staff, would definitely recommend 😊

Great location but be aware that the sea view rooms also face a main road so can be quite noisy.

Good option at Saint Peter Port
Good option for a short stay at Saint Peter Port. Only downside was the noise of some apparently drunk people from other rooms during the late night. Breakfast was good

I enjoyed my stay at St George's. A short walk from the town, it was very comfortable, extremely clean and great value for money. I found Davina very approachable. Late arrivals are no problem as room keys are left at reception and it was lovely to wake up to the smell of warm croissants or bacon rolls for breakfast. As long as you don't expect hotel standard pampering, St George's is well worth considering.

Anyone looking for accommodation on the Channel Islands will know that it's incredibly expensive compare to UK, and this was no exception for a 3-star. The house is conveniently located some 15 mins walk from the centre and across the road from the sea, with a bus stop outside. It was clean throughout, and the room was clean and airy, not too small, reasonably comfortable bed, and mostly quiet - even with a pub next door no noise drifted into the room. Coffee etc provided and top-ups available, also extra towels as required. We met the housekeeper most days, who was very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast is delivered each day to rooms around 8am, it varies a little each day and is quite enough, though nothing cooked and no choice. We were told various reasons for this, including Covid, Brexit, staff shortage, but it is a shame as it spoils the whole atmosphere. With quite some effort we were able to have breakfast packed up to take away one day when we had an early boat trip. We received no welcome from the proprietor, again apparently due to Covid. The whole of the rest of the island is mask free and no sign of any effect, though many businesses complained of a staff shortage. Can only hope the proprietors resolve these issues soon as this could be a pleasant little stay with a warm and friendly welcome every day. As it was, it all felt a bit strained.

Actually it is up to the guest to make a decision, do you want a budget break with a complimentary breakfast, or do you want to put your hand in your pocket and pay for service and pay extra for a breakfast, because cost of food is going up and up, transport is expensive so shipping is major expense and staff wages are huge in Guernsey. Our business model is to try and keep costs to the guest a minimum others are putting the tariff up, closing of availability of rooms to deal with staff shortages. Your choice.

A highly enjoyable stay. I felt really welcome and great hospitality. Pleasant 15 minute walk to town. Local co-op shop and coffee house 5 minute walk towards town. Local bus stops outside £1 single trip. I enjoyed the daily fresh breakfast basket outside door and free tea/coffee/milk in room. I will be back. Thanks for a great visit

A little gem in the Island
Pete and his team were great,the Continental breakfast was great and VERY filling! The room was clean and very spacious,i found no fault with the hotel,the room,the staff at all. I look forward to staying there again and hopefully soon!

Excellent location for walking and buses around the Island. Very friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was very good. The pub next door was a bit noisy if you stay Friday/Saturday night.

Pros: Great Location Cannot beat the wonderful sea view! Outstanding! Comfortable bed Nice and Warm Cons: Saw the 'cook' dishing out the breakfast components onto the plate - mushrooms, beans, 1 sausage, 1 bacon rasher, 1/2 grilled tomato - the put the entire plate into the microwave to heat. Not keen on this at all. Brochure stated that housekeeping was every 3 days, but when we returned on our first day there, someone had been in our room. They hadn't made the bed but they had emptied the bin - they had also unplugged our chargers from the wall which were charging our ipad and laptop whilst we were out. I DID notice in the room info that they prefer plugs to be unplugged due to fire risk, but this is a bit of a joke when the tv is left plugged in on standby all the time!

Ok, thank you for your review. So shall we now get to the facts. Housekeeping is every day, but as it says in the folder a full service every third day, which means your sheets are changed, your toiletries are refilled. Breakfast is free in St Georges, you are not paying extra for it, it is complimentary. The staff get up at 5.30am and rack up enough food for 30-40 people. It would be impossible to individually cook for that amount of people, when you come down your freshly cooked food is reheated to your order. You are asked what you would like, if you want more then you can have it at cost. So we are very fire aware, and iPads and other devices are notorious for over heating, and should never be left plugged in an empty house. We have all kinds of devices left plugged in by guests, hair straighteners, adaptors etc. Our electrician recommends that nothing is left plugged in that does not belong to the Guest House because we don't know if its safe or not. Although you have given us a good mark, your review is written with a negative slant, and totally unfair when all we try to do is give you good experience.

I visited with my 2 children for 2 nights. I have to say i was honestly suprised. Looking at photos i thought it was a tiny b and b but looks can be deceiving. This place was a warren of hidden rooms. We stayed in room 5 at the back of the hotel. It was a great size. A king size bed and a single. There was my 4 and 6 year old with me. There was plenty of room for our luggage and the children to play. A lovely little compact ensuite, a tv and tea and coffee facilities. We spent most of our days out of the hotel however whilst we were out they came in and refreshed towels and tea and coffee supplies made the beds properly and cleaned. The room was well decorated and thought out and wasnt at all dated.  The breakfasts were so delicious and you had a massive choice of toast, yoghurt, cereals, fruit, teas and coffees as well as a fully cooked english breakfast in the comfort of a well decorated breakfast room. We loved our breakfasts. Ive never seen my kids eat so much breakfast!!!! They loved it.  Check in - we came straight from the airport and our room wasnt ready but the lady, who i assume owns it, said she would get our room ready next so we could come back for my son to nap. She let us leave our suitcases and when we came back later they had been taken to our room. She left a key on the desk in an envelope so i didnt have to find anyone.  Buses run from right outside the door (11,12,13,92) and go either into town or round the island (we got to vazon beach on the opposite

Great value for money. Room clean and tidy, breakfast included and staff were friendly. Easy flat walk into St Peter Port. It is a Guesthouse, so doesn't have all the whistles and bells of a hotel, but you don't pay for that! Would thoroughly recommend a stay here.
