Spot dolphins and sea turtles as you sail on a yacht or take a kayak around the glorious beaches that surround this vestige of the lavish Rockefeller dynasty.
Pristine beaches and duty-free shopping draw visitors to these sister islands' vibrant shores. Snorkel with sea turtles at Trunk Bay on St. John, or explore Charlotte Amalie's historic pirate haunts on St. Thomas.
"Great place to stay, but I'd recommend renting a car if staying at Bluebeard's. The hill is no joke, and nothing is as close a walk as it looks on Google maps. You can get pretty much anywhere on the island on 20 minutes, but be prepared from steep grades, hairpin turns, and skinny roads. Hotel itself has great views, and even offers a kitchenet (a pleasant surprise). Food at both bar/restaurants is very good, and the staff kicks ass. Convenience store clerk makes a mean bagel and will make you laugh. She's living it up in there. Highly recommend St Thomas, but once again, rent a Jeep"
"Location, location, location. We were able to stay at this beautiful village hotel for our entire week and didn't find it necessary to have a personal car to eat, relax, shop, meet excursion watercraft or entertain ourselves. We did hop on a taxi for five of the days to visit a different amazingly gorgeous bay/beach each day. Everything else was within walking distance and/or within the village facilities. This trip was for an anniversary celebration and the hotel was a comfortable respite and clean sanctuary with the greatest beach view we've ever seen in our travels. The owners have carved out a beautiful natural spot in the midst of the abundant flora and fauna on that amazing piece of Earth."
"Great location, and we always have a great time when staying with Cruz Bay Boutique Hotel. Only thing I would change is there is no microwave to heat up leftovers. 😊"
