"Not a 4 star hotel. Very fated and in desperate need if a refurb and a giod clean. It was like stepping back into the 70s. The room was fithy and there were 2 people running the whole place that were running around everywhere looking stressed. Not the relaxing break we were hoping for"

"The hostel is cozy, located close to the lake, and within a short drive or a hike from Scafell. The food at the restaurant is fantastic. There is also a kitchen which can be used to cook your own food. The staff are all very friendly."

"We was not told about the access was very poor .car damaged due to drivers not pulling in to the side off the road .Scenery was beautiful.walks was lovley .Accomadation....bath was heavily stain no one would take a bath .The double bed upstairs was lumpy horriable sleep.2 single beds ..children said there was horriable .Alot off money for no sleep for all ,"

"A very warm and welcoming apartment, right next to a friendly and welcoming pub... short travel distances to all major sightseeing venues and beaches... defo go back again..."

"We had a lovely week staying in this gorgeous, quirky cottage. It had everything we needed, surrounded by stunning views. The farm is remote, but we found it in low cloud and rain with the supplied instructions (despite a 1 in 4 hill), and Asda delivered our shopping there with no problem. The unique lighting arrangements in the cottage was entertaining and it took us awhile to work out which switch was for which light. It truly is a lovely place, and well located for walks, and drives to Coniston, Muncaster Castle and Furness Abbey to name a few great spots to visit. I can't recommend it highly enough."
