We were disappointed that the pictures advertising the Walton Hall Hotel & Spa were quite deceptive. The actual hotel is not at all connected to the historic Walton Hall, and the hotel wing and room that we experienced were very worn and in need of a renovation. The pool and fitness room were listed on Expedia as amenities, but these facilities are not owned by the hotel and require payment for use (after registering our complaint, we were given free passes). On the plus side, the beds were comfortable and the wifi worked.

These lodges are just beautiful! Perfect location for the party we had at Rise and Grind.
Beautiful views of the lake from the balcony.
Spotlessly clean .
Well equipped with kettle/ biscuits etc .
Reception staff very welcoming.
Honestly can’t fault it . Will visit again one day

In the room the carpet was filthy. The mattresses were too soft. The internet was poor. The downstairs area looked very uninviting, like it had been left to rot. It was dark and depressing. Could be more access friendly. Doors were a challenge if you have crutches or wheelchair. However, staff were very accommodating. The stay exceeded our expectations, we shall return.
