"I fulfilled a dream with this stay. This is definitely a niche hotel. The facility is more than 100 years old and changes have maintained the original features but also acknowledged the present to the extent possible. (The elevator is staff-operated.) But there are only two floors of rooms. The view is gorgeous, and although numerous trains passed along the river below, the sound was minimal, even with my window open. My stay was midweek, and very pleasant. Those with a love of history and quaint, charming places will love this hotel."

The home was very comfortable, and the kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. The hot tub was very clean and well maintained.We were also impressed by the large selection of board games,many of them were even still in their packaging! It was clear that a lot of thought went into making the home comfortable and enjoyable for guests.If we return to the area in the future, we would definitely look to stay here again if it’s available. We had a great experience and would happily recommend this home to others."
