"Our room was ready early which was very good. The room itself was clean spacious and comfortable with a lovely view over the golf course. Dinner was excellent and all the staff friendly and efficient, and the golf course was looking very good. However the decor could do with an update. The doors and woodwork in the public areas are a bit tatty, and the exterior of the building could do with a bit of maintenance. Although this did not detract from our enjoyment of this peaceful place."

Toilet bowl too near to the vanity basin unit. Breakfast wasn't great to be honest. I ordered the full English with a poached egg ( it was solid) black pudding was clearly hiding in the kitchen. Because it wasn't on my plate. Hubby meal was very disappointing. Cold, bacon hadnt been near any form of heat for long enough to cook the fat. Other than those wee things our stay/room/sleep was very comfortable"

"The location was perfect for exploring edinburgh one day and heading for the airport the next. Being attached to the pub was so convenient and the food was incredible! It was quiet as well which i had been concerned about.
