"Lovely location near Hexham with stately home vibes and comfortable bedrooms. The bar overlooks the golf course and has lots of nooks and crannies to settle in with a glass of whatever to people watch. The restaurant has a very good menu and the staff are attentive and make sure all is OK with your meal. Breakfast is self serve with full platters of tasty food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

"After been in several lodges throughout the country we were so lucky to have found Jem lodge. The location is amazing the lodge is immaculate with all the simple extras that elevate it way above others. The hosts were superb so friendly and helpful just can’t say how good it is."

"The cottage is lovely, however 60 to clean it was a joke when it wasn’t even that clean when we got there and had to hoover it ourselves due to a few bugs on the kitchen floor and the rug in the living room covered with stains. The TV didn’t work and couldn’t receive any channels, and when we spoke to the customer service team they basically said we didn’t know how to work a TV, even though there was clearly an issue with the Ariel. Beds are comfy, place is nicely decorated, but just wasn’t happy with the customer support team treating us like idiots and the 60 cleaning charge. Also, once booked in you receive so many messages a day regarding a private chef or a tour guide that it became a nuisance and started to ruin the build up to the holiday. I’m not saying don’t stay here because it is a lovely cottage. However, sort the tv out and actually clean the place properly to warrant charging us 60 to clean it if you have a pet. "

"The Smithy is a beautiful, comfy, snuggly self contained little cottage. Everything you need is there. Tucked away it's very quite, with many great walks nearby. It is also a brilliant base to explore the Northumberland area. A shirt drive for shops and amenities. The white swan in Ovingham is definitely worth a visit for food, very busy, however very welcoming and accommodating. Food has a massive range so much my friend and I took ages to chose and it did not disappoint. I made a mistake in my leaving date thinking I had an extra night. The owners were so kind and helpful. There to help with anything you need, but not at all intrusive. Maybe I just just didn't want to leave such a great place. Ould advise anyone to book. You do have to park away from the property, but it's not a problem, you can unload and then park. Locals were also very welcoming and friendly. Book soon, don't miss out."

"Winnie Cottage is absolutely beautiful. Every aspect of the cottage is well thought out & the facilities are excellent. Especially the hot tub, It’s huge & the sauna aswell as all the other facilities provided means u don’t need to leave as there is something for everyone. The games room is a great addition for teenagers aswell as all the games, toys etc for smaller children. On arrival we were welcomed with a fantastic hamper which was a lovely surprise. The hosts are very welcoming & nothing is too much trouble, the communication is excellent. I can’t recommend this place enough. It truly is a beautiful hidden gem "

"Comfortable and quiet holiday cottage in a peaceful rural location which suited us perfectly. Hosts were friendly and helpful - helped us out very efficiently when an issue arose with the booking system which briefly made us fear we would loose our booking after paying for it."
