"The Village Inn was the perfect place for a stopover while travelling further south. Ideally located a short distance from Northallerton. Large car park, restaurant with a really good menu choice and very reasonably priced. The room was extremely clean and comfortable with heating you can control yourself. Powerful shower and very hot water. Breakfast was great, with choices of full English, Vegan, cereals etc. I would highly recommend the Village Inn to everybody looking for somewhere to stay...

"Plenty of parking, room was clean, bed was comfy. Set near some wonderful views and in a very quiet area. Evening meal was lovely with plenty of choice, same for the breakfast. "It's a spacious house with a massive potential.Parking for two cars at the front. Gates can be closed for the safeguarding kids or dogs.Alex is very fast replaying messages.Some other nice features are - wood burner, TV in the upstairs bathroom, lovely view over the river.Everything we needed for cooking was there to use. Complementary coffee, tea, sugar and milk.3 spacious bedrooms upstairs and a small one with a bunk bed downstairs. All came with fresh, clean bedding.All in all we enjoyed our two night's stay."

Some of the cereal packets were out of date and the cereal bowls had dried cereal stuck to them. There was a table and four chairs and a settee and a TV in the room."

"A perfect stay in a beautiful property. I always say you get what you pay for, so while it seemed expensive when I booked it, it was so worth the money. Everything was spot on, the furnishings were sumptuous, furniture and beds were top quality, bedrooms and bathrooms were luxurious. Host was great and left a lovely welcome hamper with wine, chocolate etc. All in all, I couldn't fault Finch House"

" A Wonderful Home From Home Weekend in StocksleyAs soon as we arrived on Friday, the house instantly felt like a home from home. It was lovely, spotless, tidy, and really well set out. The location couldn’t have been better!! Central to everything we needed, easy to find, and with very handy parking right outside.Vicky was incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout our stay, and we had everything we needed for a relaxing long weekend. The beds were unbelievably comfy, and the whole place felt warm and welcoming. If we were staying longer, the only tiny suggestion would be a couple of extra kitchen essentials, like scissors, egg cups or some small ramekins for dips and chutneys, but that’s honestly us being very picky!We also loved exploring the local area and trying out some of the nearby places to eat. When we arrived on Friday, we grabbed fish & chips from Bassletons Fish Bar but don’t be fooled by the outside, because they were so good! On Saturday night, we weren’t very hungry, so we popped into Uno Momento Italian for just starters, and the staff were lovely and the food was delicious. We even got chatting to a lovely lady called Jess, who manages both Il Mulino and The Mill. On Sunday we had the most amazing Sunday dinner at Il MulinoThe local butchers were also fantastic, with a great variety of options perfect if you want to stay in and cook.Overall, we had a brilliant stay and would definitely return. Highly recommended! "
