"Fabulous hotel in a deprived area. Staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Room size generous with good amenities. Restaurant and bar excellent. Outside of the hotel Newport is dirty and deprived with no tourist experiences. Only positive is the short train rides to Cardiff and Bristol"

They had provided an alternative aircon machine and freestanding fan, however both were very noisy so unable to have on when trying to sleep, which meant a restless night due to temperature and no fresh air.
