"Helped me see Mt. Fuji at sunrise. There was a thick layer of fog forming right above the Yamanakako Lake in the early mornig, which seems to be a common thing in this season. Because this hotel was above the fog it didn't obstruct our view of the beautiful Mt. Fuji at sunrise. It was a very clear and sunny day, and the fog cleared up within a couple of hours after sunrise. If you are aiming for sunrise picture, this hotel really enhaces your chance of catching the precious view. "

Amazing massage - probably one of the best I’ve ever had. Staff were very attentive and helpful. The only thing I would mark down slightly is the food. "

"This is a traditional stay, meaning you will sleep on a thin mattress on top of tatami mats on the floor. I’m 40 and it was okay for a couple of nights. I didn’t mind. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Also keep in mind that the showers are shared, no individual stalls. There are great Cafes and restaurants around"

"Amazing place to stay, my kids enjoy the little yard outside with a nice view. Apparently this is meant for family with pets, it still works out well for my family of 4. "

"We had a great stay at this property. The hostess was kind and helpful. The breakfast was absolutely delicious. The bath was clean and relaxing. The rooms were a bit cold this time of year, so I suggest starting the heater during the day while you are out to come back to a nice toasty room. The property is conveniently located with a beautiful vue on the lake from the front and Fuji-san from the back. I would definitely stay here again!"
