Retro Inn at Mesa Verde

"Kiffany at the front desk was exceptional. She went above and beyond to ensure a great start to our stay. I sure appreciated her enthusiasm, local food recommendations, and very warm personality. She even walked outside with me after check-in to show my dad and I the best parking spot for our motorcycles. The property itself has a charming retro vibe, and our room was super clean and comfortable. So I definitely recommend this hotel to anyone who values excellent service and a unique experience."

"When I pulled up to the hotel I thought there had been a mistake. I didn't feel like this was a hotel that could earn a 8.6 star review. I was tired when I arrived and told the staff that this was not what I was expecting. It looked like a motel from the 1960s. Half the rooms opened directly onto the sidewalk, not an inside hallway. The staff was very friendly and helpful and I decided to at least see the room before I left. My room was in the 2 story section and did open inside. The room was indeed a 2 star hotel quality but was clean and comfortable. I was only in the room for 5 minutes when the front desk called me and I asked if everything was ok. I was impressed that the staff was concerned with my satisfaction. I also liked that the hotel was well located within the town. Close to most restaurants and shopping. I kept the room and had a pleasant overnight stay. I would recommend this hotel if you are looking for a basic, clean hotel room for the night."

"The newer owners have been working on the property. The owner/ manager went out of her way to accommodate us, offering our choice between two rooms to better suit our needs. The rooms were clean and comfortable. If your looking for fancy, this may not be the place, but for a comfy, quiet stay, come on in."

"Clean room, nothing broken, missing or not working. Parking is a little tight, unless you're on a motorcycle. Good location, gas station right across the street. I have stayed here multiple times. Nothing fancy, great for an overnight stay."

The soap dispenser on the MB bathroom sink did not work; the soap bottle in the shower was not very inviting to say the least. It had been in use for a long time, there was not much left in it and I could not bring myself to use it ..."
