"Absolutely fine, was welcomed by a thoroughly nice chap who checked us in etc. Room was up in the rafters but was nice, comfortable bed and a magnificent bathtub. Spent an hour in the bar and enjoyed that, drinks were reasonable price and it seemed to be quite full. Had to leave at 06:00 to catch ferry so didn’t eat breakfast. Only negative was the toilet seat was quite loose and I felt a little uneasy sitting on the pan, expecting it to slip off at any second. Absolute not a show-stopper...

"My 4th stay at the Shah. The staff are as good as you can get (Thank you).I stayed 3 nights.The 1st 2 nights in room 6... nice double room.Amazing powerful shower and a huge bed. The 3rd night I was in room 9~a single room.I think it was near or over the kitchen,there was some sort motor running all night.maybe the fridge or freezer..it was load enough to keep me awake. The food was very good pub grub and large portions. "

"So glad we booked this place rather than a large hotel in the area that we were considering. The room was gorgeous with a big bath tub (we chose one of the big rooms). Check in was easy, staff were v friendly and accommodating despite looking after the restaurant too (special mention to Ashmi who waited on us a couple of times in the restaurant). "Our room was very comfortable, spacious and decorated beautifully. The hotel is in a peaceful location surrounded by nature and was very quiet. All of the staff we interacted with were polite and friendly. We enjoyed a delicious meal in the pub for dinner. The only disappointment with our stay was the confusion over breakfast. In the room they advise a breakfast to go pack is available if you need to check out prior to 8am. As we needed to do that we asked the dinner staff how we organise that....

"The property is very well located to the beach, town, bus and train station. The house is clean and very comfortable with so many extras like toys and beach items (buckets, spades, crabbing stuff, kites etc) which was a lovely surprise as I packed light! We had great communication from the host and all the house was full of really useful information about surrounding walks and attractions. As a family with young children we found this the perfect place to stay and wouldn’t hesitate to book again"
