Booked a room and let them know I had a GHAD assistance dog. Still charged the $20 cleaning fee despite that not being generally allowed to a service animal. Room was small, smelt of dog piss, and sorry. Floors were sticky and bathroom was old and mouldy. No one was at reception at all in the 24hours we were there, so keys were collected from a safe and dropped into box for arrival and departure. Which isn’t terrible. Except when you need them for issues. The tv didn’t work, air system wouldn’t change from 18° cooling. For one single night it will do. But I wouldn’t recommended staying any longer. It definitely wasn’t worth the cost of the stars it apparently has.

Hello Jessica,Sorry you were unhappy with your stay ,but just to clarify you were not charge 20 service fee ,only charge for room and GST. Our Reception is only open from 7.30am to 10AM - 2PM -7PM but if there is any issues, we have a after hours phone number which is supplied at the front office door and also in the room.We have check the room today and cannot find any issues with Tv or the air conditioner ,so cannot explain why you had a issue.But if we were made aware of these issues we would have made other arrangements for your stay.But Thankyou for your review and we will address the other issues about the cleaning with our staff .Again we try will ensure our guest enjoy there stay at our motel .Kind RegardsTamworth city motel

Good location for an overnight stay for parkrun at Tamworth. Staff was helpful with unlocking night box and letting us take breakfast supplies to room for our breakfast after our 5km run before checkout

Ripped lamp shade, no hot water at night, dirty remote, toilet filled with water when flushed, quite loud (guests and road) very tired and outdated. I’ve also been itching like crazy (hopefully not bed bugs).

Under new management. Christy took over about a month ago and was lovely. The rooms and bedding were clean. Amenities were clean. Bar fridge was roomy enough to store 2 pizza boxes! Power point on wall near table included USB points. I was very pleasantly surprised. The motel exceeded my expectations. Value for money.

Area was questionable but all Others staying in motel were friendly and attending the music festival and easy to visit with. Came back around 1000pm To a random man with bags and a scooter in the pool area camping out. Locks were not adequate on door and large area around door you can see daylight. Breakfast was included, good and clean dining area.

The cleanliness was OK, but nothing else was any good. Curtains cut out with scissors, nails in the carpet were sticking out, the amenities were very out of date, lighting very dim, obvious patchwork on the bathroom wall, wi-fi wouldnt work, breakfast included putting your own dishes in a basket ... no service at all. Although the receptionist was pleasant, we won't stay again.

Very disappointing place to stay.Couldn’t connect to wifi, nowhere to put your suitcase ,very poky room.bed lamp supplied but no power points to use to plug it into on that wall.Shower -water leaked out from under the hob all over the floor.Couldn’t change stations on tv ,tried everything .people in next room very noisy most of the night , very hard to get any sleep.Would not recommend this place to anyone.

We were very disappointed that the tv didn’t work properly because of the remote. It was very noisy, and the air conditioner cord was stuck together with an extension lead very dangerous. The only thing that was good was the bed.

I was upset at midnight due to some banging on the door by the police. Someone had reported a noise and people trying to break into our unit. We were fast asleep from 9.30 (there about) I think this was a practical joke by someone!! Not happy

After specifically choosing this family room at this motel for the queen sized bed (due to medical reasons) we were given a family room with a very hard double bed. After paying much less for a family room in another town, and it was double as clean, comfortable and spacious as this room - it was very disappointing.

This motel is ok if you're desperate. It feels a bit like staying in someone's garage. The flooring is carpet tiles. The hot water in the shower was barely warm. The shower leaked through the base onto the bathroom floor. The check-in staff were friendly and accommodating when we asked for bowls and spoons to self cater our breakfast. The heater was noisy but essential in the middle of winter. The bed was comfortable enough.
