When we showed up the doors were locked. Got a text they were not in business!!! Never got an email and no refund! Terrible situation.

Abbiamo prenotato una camera last minute. Struttura moderna, accogliente e centrale. Il proprietario è stato gentilissimo. Unica pecca, la colazione. È servita in un bar a pochi metri di distanza in una terrazza panoramica, ma non appena seduti al tavolo ci è stato detto che potevamo prendere solo cornetto e cappuccino/caffè. Il mio compagno intollerante al lattosio ha dovuto insistere un bel po per avere un succo di frutta.

Stayed last year and loved it

Disappointing check in. Room not made up as requested (twin for friends). Seemed to be a big problem until we realised the male receptionist couldn’t make up the beds so he got the linen and we did it ourselves. Coming home after a pleasant evening out we were accosted by a female receptionist about breakfast as it appeared it wasn’t part of our booking and we needed to pay. It would have been fine but because of her manner we declined and ate out. Last year we had a great stay in a room facing Mt Etna and everyone was so polite and friendly. This time our stay was unpleasant & topped off by people coming home late and conducting a loud conversation in the hallway. The walls are paper thin.

The staff was the kindest I have met anywhere in the world, the location was great, and the building beautiful. My only complaints are that there were a lot of mosquitoes in my room, and the water smelled like rotten onions.

Bien ubicado. Desayuno engañoso.

La llegada muy bien, excelente ubicación, imposible mejor. Parking a 100m, lo que en Taormina es muy importante. Muy linda habitación, limpia, bien decorada, en 2do piso por escalera desde la calle. Problema 1: en la página de Hoteles.com anuncian desayuno (un motivo de elección) y dentro de la habitación se anuncia desayuno de 8 a 10.30. Al bajar a desayunar, nos informan que no hay ningún tipo de desayuno en temporada baja. Revisamos la página de Hoteles.com y en "ver mas" al final de la página, figura "desayuno a pagar €7". En todas las paginas web se aclara si el desayuno es pago a continuacion de la palabra "desayuno" misma. Considero ésto un engaño del tipo "letra pequeña" de los contratos. Problema 2: sin TV las 2 noches, atenuado por malas condiciones climaticas. Para lo que ofrecen, está sobrevaluado a €200/noche en febrero.

Very nice B&B

Very comfortable, with helpful staff. Dropping off luggage is a hassle at city gate & it has to be carried up a moderate flight of stairs to the hotel entrance, but Frederica took it up while we parked in the nearby garage. Be sure to check arrival by car instruction on the hotel web site, as Google & Garmin don't recognize the tunnel that avoids town. Excellent breakfast.

Pas à la hauteur de ses prétentions

Bien placé à l'entrée de la vieille ville et calme. Le nom de l'hôtel nous faisait espérer un standing et une grande chambre mais il n'en est rien, la chambre était petite et la salle de bain classique. Le design est un peu tape à l’œil et certains accessoires défaillants (douche qui fuit, porte savon mal fixé que nous avons fait tomber, s'est brisé et qui nous a été débité directement sur notre CB sans notre accord). Pas de chaîne internationales sur la TV et système wifi très intermittent (il fallait remettre les codes à chaque utilisation pour environ 5 mn de connexion). Pas de peignoir, une bouilloire mais pas de café ni thé à disposition. Des petites attentions en plus (chocolats, gâteaux, ...) mais toutes payantes. Sur le site est indiqué la présence d'un jardin et d'une terrasse pour le petit déjeuner, il n'y avait qu'une petite cour et l'espace disponible convenait pour 3 tables de 2 personnes. On se faisait une joie d'aller dans cet hôtel "de luxe"pour la fin de notre séjour en Sicile et nous avons été très déçus.

Great boutique hotel

The Porta del Tocca has everything you need wrapped up in a small venue. Great location, easy parking at the PortaCantania car park, very modern/updated rooms, and an extremely friendly/helpful staff. Plus, the breakfast had phenomenal pastries. I would highly recommend Porta del Tocca.
