"The hotel was clean but there was a single person on staff, meaning that the poor guy was doing every job from reception to cooking. The rooms are tidy but much more tired than the photos reveal. Decent toiletries and a nice canal walk nearby. Don’t eat there because only toasties on offer that night. "

"We loved our stay. The staff were welcoming, and the room was clean. The kids loved the dated decor and 90s phone in the room, and the pull out double sofa bed. Breakfast buffet was great - something to suit each of us, with the kids choosing pastries and the adults a full English. Parking was free and there was plenty of it. Overall excellent value for money and happy with our stay. "

"Only stayed one night, standard room not sure what to expect. However, no water bottle given was a shock as that seems to be a basic supply from all hotels. The room shape was awkward, slanted ceiling meant bumping your head over your bed is very possible especially for older people or those who can be clumsy! The heater made some strange noise occasionally and can certainly affect those who are sensitive to noise or light sleeper. Didn’t use any of the facilities so cannot comment. We arrived early but wasn’t allowed to check in until 3pm! Breakfast was ok, had to wait for resupply of food as ran out quickly.. minimum choice options. "

"Hotel Rafiyah is a lovely place to stay with easy access to Redditch and surrounding areas. The hotel its self is usually quiet and you can easily get a good night sleep in its comfy rooms. Excellent value for money. Parking is availiable on site. Would highly recommend "

"Run down, ditry, old, overgrown, with trash in the garden/public areas. Someone walked in on me at 7:30am. Just not a good experience."

"The cooked breakfast was lovely. Michael who was serving at breakfast was really kind and helpful. He just made it perfect. We arrived quite late in the evening and the night porter who was on the desk was very nice. The room was a little small but did us fine for the short time we were there. "

"The hotel is OK but looking very tired. I opted for the Executive room which didn't match the description on Hotels.com. When checking with reception I was advised that the room I was in was correct, which it definitely wasn't. As it was late in the day I didn't have the energy to debate. In the morning I discovered my shower didn't work as the heat adjustment knob was broken so after wasting 15 minutes I had to run a bath. When mentioning to the lady on reception she wasn't bothered and just asked if I was checking out today??? Overall it was OK, not great though and I won't be returning."

"Kept waiting outside the property ,taken up to room had to ask for the room key.Given the outside door code verbally ,why not give it on a card ?? Lousy area ,wouldnt stop there again."

"Room not the cleanest, false fingernail and tissue left by the side of the bed and thick dust on the top of the oak beam. Breakfast was excellent but the table was very sticky. Bedroom front door did not close properly and let a large of cold air into the room"
