"We had a wonderful stay at this charming cottage on the Currituck Sound. The setting is peaceful, private, and absolutely beautiful. Every day we enjoyed watching the many shore birds along the water, and each evening brought breathtaking sunsets that painted the sound with incredible colors.The cottage is beautifully furnished, comfortable, and thoughtfully maintained. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped with everything needed to prepare anything from a quick breakfast to a full dinner, making it feel like a true home away from home.The outdoor spaces were exceptional. The upper deck offers stunning views of the sound and was a great spot for morning coffee and evening beverages. The shaded lounge beneath the deck was equally inviting, staying cool even on hot days. With comfortable seating and a picnic table, it was the perfect place to unwind outdoors.We also loved having access to the kayaks and paddleboards, which made it easy to enjoy the water and explore the sound.The hosts were exceptional. They responded immediately to our questions and quickly resolved a minor electrical issue during our stay. Their kindness, attentiveness, and hospitality were truly outstanding.Between the beautiful home, the stunning waterfront setting, the abundant wildlife, and the loveliest hosts imaginable, it truly exceeded expectations. This quiet, charming getaway has beautiful views, abundant wildlife, and wonderful hosts. We highly recommend it and would gladly return."

"Our stay went great. We stayed one night . Came in a day early before our week in the beach house. We were able to meet the rest of our family earlier in the day before our checkout at 4 here and use the pool & beach while waiting. I would come back and stay on property."

"The house is beautiful in a quiet neighborhood. The beach was nice and open for the dog to play around in. Bed was comfortable, kitchen was great to cook in and the porch in front was nice to sit on and enjoy the evening."

"Truly, this house is a gem in every sense of the word! Everything about the home is as listed and more. The home is super well kept and updated, the kitchen is incredibly well stocked with cooking supplies, and the beds and bathrooms are all super clean and comfortable. Beyond all of this, though, are the amenities at the house from the hot tub, to the pool, the incredible backyard with volleyball court and putting green, BBQ, and huge area for all to enjoy and relax! Plus just a 30 second walk down the private walkway basically at the end of the driveway to the beach. It really couldn’t be any better. The owners are absolutely wonderful and incredibly responsive if there are any needs whatsoever, which we really didn’t have any!! We couldn’t give this home any higher of a recommendation. Thank you for having us!"

"If you’re looking for the perfect dog-friendly getaway in the Outer Banks, I can’t recommend the Sanderling Resort enough. The entire experience feels peaceful, upscale, and incredibly welcoming, especially for dog owners. One of the best parts is the private beach access, where you can spend the entire day relaxing with your pups. The resort sets up umbrellas and lounge chairs for you, making it so easy to settle in and just enjoy the ocean breeze together. It honestly feels like a luxury beach day designed for both humans and dogs. The property itself is absolutely beautiful, bright, clean, airy, and incredibly well-maintained. Everywhere you look has that calm coastal vibe that instantly puts you at ease. The rooms and common spaces feel fresh and inviting without being stuffy. The restaurant on the property is also top-notch. Great food, great atmosphere, and such a nice bonus when you don’t feel like leaving the resort. If you truly want to disconnect, recharge, and have a relaxing vacation with your dogs, this place is 100% worth it. It’s one of those rare resorts that actually delivers the peaceful getaway experience it promises."

"Great pet and big kid friendly house on a quiet neighborhood street. We appreciated the primary bedroom king bed being very soft and comfy (we feel like rentals often have hard beds). The home was overall clean on arrival. The kitchen had adequate supplies for cooking. There were plenty of games and puzzles for rainy afternoons. The pool space was great and felt private. Easy walking distance to the south community pool/ tennis/pickle courts as well as a beach store, candy store, coffee shop, and couple of restaurants. Love the beach shuttle that can pick you up close by and drop you off right back at the house! The hosts were very responsive and took care of a couple of minor things within a reasonable amount of time. Note: There was an additional 125 pet fee not listed when we booked."
