"We were happy to see that there was a restaurant and bar on the premises when we arrived as we were tired and it was raining. The food was good and fresh. The rooms are spacious but plain. The shower worked fine. The bathroom could use a shelf or cabinet to put your stuff on. There was a coffee and teas station. We were on the second floor with no lift since it’s an older building if that is a concern for you. The neighborhood was quiet and you could see the ocean from our window although it was a distance away. Breakfast was included and it was plentiful with choices."

"The staff here were absolutely lovely! It's a very quaint inn, just as you might imagine an Inn in the Scottish countryside would be. The room was small but functional. Ours looked out onto a sweet 'wee' courtyard. We had a glass of wine in the bar after returning from having dinner at Kingsbarns Golf club and the bartender, Cammie, was so lovely and helpful. She gave some recommendations of places to see in Edinburgh and let us sample the Irn Bru, which is a local soft drink in Scotland that's a cross between orange and bubble gum flavor, and disgustingly sweet! The included breakfast was one of the best ones we had in our travels through Scotland. There were cereals, juices and pastries as well as whatever you choose from menu. All in all this Inn provided a very homey and tranquil experience during our whirlwind trip through Scotland and Ireland."

"We absolutely LOVED this cottage, it truly was like a scene from a Jane Austin book. My teenaged daughter couldn’t stop raving about the setting. Plus there was a window seat so she could sit in the seat and read while she watched the rain. The only drawback is that we didn’t stay longer so that we could do more exploring in the woods and the town. It is about a mile and a half from the beach for the more adventurous. Beds were super comfortable. Kitchen is very well-appointed. There is a combo washer/dryer, but as with most of these types of machines, the dryer didn’t get things terribly dry, so I ended up hanging a lot of the wash after it had already been in the dryer for an hour or two, but the washing machine itself worked very well. The washer and the dryer does get very hot, and I never found a way to get actual cold tap water, so be careful with clothing that needs cold water. I will admit however that I have never really used these types of units before so it could have been user error. Anyway we will hopefully some day return and stay for longer."

"Accommodation was excellent, clean, airy and spacious. It had everything you could possibly need and more.The enclosed garden was safe and secure for the dogs to room freely.Great location for day trips in surrounding villages and towns, all less than 30 minutes drive time.We would highly recommend this property."
