"The hotel was well-situated in the centre of York. The staff were very welcoming and efficient. There were a few small cobwebs around the base of some of the room furniture and the shower room had a stale smell on arrival, which could be associated with the shower not being used, or if the water in the shower trap is siphoned out by water flow from other showers."

"We loved our stay here! Everywhere was spotless, the room was cozy and the bed comfortable. I loved the pool, and was pleased there was a sauna in the room and that the pool had an in-built jacuzzi. Reception was nice and there were lots of local goodies on sale for a reasonable price. All the staff we encountered were really pleasant, friendly and helpful. There was a good range of decent meals in the bar lounge, the pizzas were exceptional! I was somewhat disappointed with breakfast, the hot food was overdone and tough. The fried eggs were solid, and the scrambled weren't very nice. However, there were plenty of other foods to choose from. The bread for the toast was lovely. We will most definitely go there again, we fully recommend it!"

"Everything from the staff to the decor was wonderful. It doesn't look like much on the outside, but as soon as you walk in you know you're going to have a great stay. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful. The bar staff were equally friendly. I had a ton in the courtyard and it was very clean and comfortable. I will definitely be staying here again. "
