"Great location / price. Clean and tidy. Close to town, pubs, canal. Parked outside on road no problem. Internet connection very poor. Shower pressure not brilliant."

"Lovely hotel and extremely clean. We were in the club house room which is in a separate building from the main hotel. The room was very clean and modern. My only complaint was there were 2 small bottles of water put out for us like most hotels do but they were half full and the seals were broken so were not new. Also they provide fresh milk in a fridge in the reception area which is really nice but the one I had which was well in date was sour so I think the fridge was not cold enough. Also the ice machine was not working. I did mention this to the reception and it was all rectified immediately. Also the hand wash and shower gel bottles in our room were empty but I brought my own so that was fine. I would suggest that housekeeping do a more thorough check on these things in the future as it is little things like this that can let a lovely hotel like this down. We had an evening meal and breakfast and both were delicious and excellent staff. Although we had a few small problems we would definitely stay here again as the standard is very high. "

"The property is located in the Lancashire countryside with walking from the doorstep and outdoor space including a large enclosed garden and a shared play area. We are regular Xmas visitors because the open plan ground floor with 2 seating areas the dining area and the kitchen makes a perfect location for our family get together. The cottage is well equipped, warm and roomy and the owners could not be more accommodating."

From the stunning architectural design to the thoughtful, high-end finishes, every detail felt luxurious and perfectly curated. The common spaces were spectacular for entertaining, and the bedrooms were serene and comfortable. The photos online simply don't do justice to the scale, craftsmanship, and ambiance of the home. The property was equipped with everything we could possibly need and more, making our special weekend completely seamless and stress-free. It provided the most magical backdrop for such a milestone birthday. If you are looking for a venue that combines luxury, comfort, and breathtaking design for any group gathering or celebration, I cannot recommend The Piggeries highly enough. "We chose this cottage primarily because it is accessible. Two of the three of us who stayed there are disabled. We were very pleased with the design, fixtures and fittings. The cottage itself is ideal and the location is excellent. The settees were a bit too low for people with limited mobility, but it isn't a major issue. Another minor matter is the track up to the cottage which could do with some evening out and repair. On the other hand, everything else was great including the beds and the bathrooms. Would we go there again? Yes and without any hesitation"
