Floriana Hotel Guide - The Valletta Waterfront hotels in Floriana, Malta.

"Lovely location and nice room with great view. Shower was not good - v difficult to get temperature correct and badly positioned so hard to get under the shower head! Air con was feeble. Pool is lovely but beach is v scruffy not nice (and I changed since our last visit two years ago. Unfortunately a member of staff spilt a whole tray of drinks, including red wine (not even ours!) on my wife which was shocking and resulted in two days of trying get our clothes cleaned. They didn't even offer us a free drink let alone a discount on the final bill. Not sure we'll be back."

"Our stay was excellent, staff were so thoughtful and helpful and our room was amazing. Breakfast is taken at the on site restaurant, full table service and the menu is quite extensive. Overall, would thoroughly recommend."

"Excellent location. Staff were good (especially the night manager). Morning staff could have cleared used plates more quickly at breakfast. Breakfast was good, but shame no hot plates or simple eggs cooked to order available. We had the cheaper room, which opened out to the inner court yard was as expected, so no complaint. The room was a bit dull looking but ok, it was probably overdue a revamp. The bathroom was grim (room 202) with the shower and around the sink in much need of a deep clean at the very least, if not replacing altogether, I was surprised at how poor it was given the overall hotel rating. The location is perfect though, so if they could sort the bathroom, I would recommend. The person checking us out didn’t ask how our stay was, if not I would have raised it with them. "

"The property location is amazing. Right along the sea but property needs a bit of overhaul as it’s a bit aged property. For example the plug sockets are still old eu pins , the plumbing makes sounds and the carpets needs more deep cleaning but overall the property is nice and very spacious."

"The one bedroom apartment (23) was perfect for what we needed and exactly as advertised. Great location for Valletta with a picturesque walk along the mall to get into the city within 10 minutes. Valletta is the city within the walls, the apartment is in Floriana but it is so close, it may as well be Outer Valletta. Check-in instructions arrived via a handy WhatsApp video before we arrived. The whole apartment was spotlessly clean. The kitchen is well equipped, with washing tablets for the dishwasher, a washer dryer and fridge and freezer. The bathroom and shower were all supplied with shower gel.soap, shampoo and conditioner. Bathrobes also provided and iron and ironing board. The only minor criticism were that it would have been nice to have a safe for leaving valuables, some hooks in the bathroom for hanging and drying towels and some hooks for coats in the lounge. (Although in the summer I guess there aren’t many coats being worn- but we did contend with some heavy rain). The apartment even supplied a large umbrella which we needed. There is parking outside for weekends for free if you hire a car. Sadly we didn’t have time or the weather to use the roof terrace but it does look good for when the sun is out. Don’t miss the lovely botanical Argotti gardens at the end of the street, some great views from here and very peaceful."

"I am not able to say one positive thing about this property. Stay away, staff are rude and watch the charges. The area is not the best and I wish I would have known it before booking. There were so many choices but I was in a rush when booking. The room was not clean and when you asked staff for anything, they would act as if you were bothering them. "

"I highly recommend this hotel as the suites are really spacious and fully equipped with the most modern appliances and the beds are very comfortable. The breakfast buffet on the top floor is a real feast for foodies and the view over Valletta is breathtaking. Unfortunately since I wasn’t on holiday I didn’t get a chance to experience the pool and spa but I can confirm that there is fast broadband connectivity in the room."

"A decent 4 star hotel with good amenities. Friendly, efficient staff and an excellent location. But the soundproofing between our room 402 and 403 was non-existent. Possibly because of the connecting door. Whatever the reason we could hear their 'endless' conversations clearly, the coughing, the hair dyer etc.."
