The view from the rooms AMAZING!. Was horrified by the stench of cigarette smell and mustiness. Would have been sick in first room. Could not have done it. Convinced the proprieter to give us another room. Still musty, but were able to air it out. Heat was turned off. Looking around inside, it was clean, new bathroom

Stayed here for work when passing through. The staff were extremely nice and welcoming, the restaurant had a good selection and the burger I had was top notch. Very well kept property, beautiful view of the lake. The room it self was very clean and quiet, but it was quite dated. Wifi was a bit too slow to be useful for me. Bottom line, this is a clean quiet place to stay with good food, amazing view and very affordable rates, I would not hesitate to stay here again.

I booked the stay with expedier and received the confirmation next day. But on the day i drove to the motel, got a message that my stay was canceled due to my credit card issue. I used the same card booked three motels in the same week with expedier without any problem. When I arrived at this property, they allowed me to rebook by using the same card but changed the prices. It is $42 more than the original. I fault both expedier and the motel. If my credit card had a problem (it didn't), Expedier should've let me know before the confirmation. The motel shouldn't have charge me a higher price since the credit card actually worked. The property is clean and reasonable maintained.

This is an old-fashioned resort on Lake Huron. The walls of our room are vintage knotty pine. All is old but the bathroom has recently been painted and is pretty spotless. The bed and pillows are fine. So, if you are good with a quaint old resort style, you should be happy here. There is a refrigerator and microwave and a restaurant with a good view on the premises. Food was OK.

When I went to check in I was told my reservation was cancelled. He showed me a piece of paper that said cancelled, wouldn’t give me a copy. I hope my credit card wasn’t charged for the room.

The standard room was dirty. The shower tiles were full of mold. The bathroom tap leaked badly. There were stains on the carpet and many spiders in room. The food in the dining room was good.

The room was clean and smelled nice, basic renovation were done to the walls but mudding of the dry wall was very visible and not sanded down or painted over. Back window and bathroom window looks like original wooden windows from many years ago. Bath tub and back splash is very dated. Highway is noticeably noisy, specifically when transports go by. Beach needs to be raked and cleaned of natural debris especially since an extra $20 is charged for beach use and cleaning. Heater very dated in the bathroom and heater in main room noisy with creaking and cracking noise when heater is running.

Property is very dated. We were there for 3 days. No fresh towels, didn’t even dump our garbage or do anything in our room. Might be good for one night stay. Restaurant was pricey for what you got. I recommend going to the Stanton Tavern to eat. Great good and great prices!

A huge disappointment. We've come multiple times over the last 25 years. The reception was rude and impatient. On arrival to our room the lights were not functional. Carpet stained, bathroom fixtures ummaintained, tub stained, tiles falling off. Tiny flies everywhere. If we hadn't driven 13 hrs that day we would have left.

This guy came with a big attitude using abusive language and asking for 20% discount although he booked through expedia with firm rates. His room was perfect beack front with all the ameneties but since the front desk refused to give any discount he threatened to give bad review which he did. These kind of customers should not be allowed by any hotel as there main aim to get discount by threat with abusive language and spoil the repo of the hotels.

Property location is the excellent, nice and quiet. Room conditions is very poor, squeaky floor, old beds, dirty carpet and chairs, extra small bathroom with dirty towels ( the worst thing- we asked for new one and get even more stained.. But its safe and quiet. Owners should invest some money to improve facility conditions.

My teens and i stayed here while on a roadtrip which took us through Sault Ste Marie and around to the ferry to Tobermory. I want to start by noting this is a roadside motel: if you are looking for 5 star luxury, this is not the place for you. If you want a quiet night surrounded by nice travelers, friendly hosts, good food, and a beautiful view, this is the place for you. We drove into town to eat dinner, but discovered there was nothing open and nothing looked great from the outside. We returned to the motel to have dinner and it was fabulous. The restaurant was packed, but service was great. I highly recommend the Indian dishes on the menu - they were delicious and a great change from what we had been eating on the trip. The owners are very friendly and made us feel welcome. If we ever find ourselves this way again, we will stay here.

We had a hard time as we were paying 109.00 plus the 20.00 few and taxes in which we would have paid 145.00 a night times 4 nights would be around 600.00 mark. He gave me a couple of small papers with the price of 736.00 . I asked him why the he said it was Expedia deal. He told me he would return 63.00 but I refused the money and I was persuusing it my self.

Disappointed, given the price, nice location and view as well as convenient. But bathroom had a fair bit of bugs, screen door did not fit tight enough and overall a little rundown. Only one desk lamp in the whole room. The bed was fine and clean.
