"This is an old style country house hotel. As such it will probably not be to everyone's personal taste (e.g.perhaps decor a bit dark) but we thought this hotel was excellent. Service, breakfast both super. The hotel is only 5 minutes walk from the centre of town and, importantly, has (free) car parking facilities. Would have no hesitation in staying here again."

"We booked Ruby's cottage extremely last minute so we weren't expecting to find somewhere this good! Such a gorgeous house in the most stunning location. We loved the loft room and seeing a mountain out of each window (we especially enjoyed looking at Blencathra after we had climbed it!) The front garden was so nice to sit and read in while our toddler napped. So easy to get to Keswick and other lovely places. Great pubs, lovely cafe & a nice little play park very close by. Well-equipped house and such comfortable beds. We didn't want to leave and we hope we'll be back!"

"The cottage was great value for money. It was clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. It was worth staying just for the tv in the bathroom! Loved our view from the back, watching the sheep grazing."

"While the room was clean it wasn’t very good in the corners. Doors couldn’t be left open and found this a safety issue as they shut very quickly. The shower was new but the rail the shower head was on was in a really stupid place also it was on the curve of the bath a safety issue we also had to request a bath mat which was quickly fixed. The balcony was lovely chairs and table provided but dirt in all the corners. The tv was a pain to get on. The on site shop and cafe weren’t ever open this sounds awful but it was a really friendly experience the staff were really friendly we bought door wedges for the doors naughty I know but only used them when in. Would certainly go back as the area was lovely xxx"

"Excellent little Lodge on the outskirts of Keswick.I had to contact them and get an extra heater as it was so cold and it was quickly delivered.It was great and i'll defo go back!"

"Great little space for a stay near beautiful keswick, cottage was located a 10-15 minute drive from the town centre & gorgous walks local throughout. Clean, tidy cottage with a great shower. Only slight issue was the kitchen was very compact so would benefit from a wooden top that could be placed over the sink to give more work top space. Some clear instructions for the oven would be great too as it was difficult to use, had to google how to use and even then couldnt get it working 100%. Overall a lovely great stay & we would stay here again x"
