"I have stayed at four Wyndham properties across four states on a recent cross-country trip. Not one required a cash deposit. This location did — $100 cash, and refused my Venmo debit card entirely, accepting only credit cards. No explanation, no apology — just a curt demand delivered by a front desk employee who made it abundantly clear I had interrupted something far more important than his job. He was abrupt, dismissive, and openly irritated by my existence.
I arrived at 11:44 PM needing a few hours of sleep before a 6 AM flight. I was placed in a room beside an exterior light that cycled on and off all night while foot traffic passed my window continuously until I left at 4 AM. I got essentially no sleep.
I chose this hotel specifically for airport transportation — only to discover it doesn’t run before 5 AM. That fact cost me a Lyft I specifically chose this property to avoid paying.
At checkout, the same employee told me I was “all set.” He had forgotten my $100 deposit entirely. I had to stop him, remind him, show my ID, and wait while he slowly located money that should have been ready.
I have stayed here before with no issues using the same card. Something has gone seriously wrong with this property’s management and standards. Until that changes, I will book elsewhere — and warn others to do the same."
