About this property

Cornish Holiday Home in Tintagel - New from Easter 2024

  • New - from Easter 2024 : Chynoweth has been furnished and equipped to the same high standards as our neighbouring property Chylowen, which we have let successfully for 14 years.

Chynoweth is a newly refurbished and spacious family friendly holiday home, an easy five to ten minute walk from the centre of the historical village of Tintagel renowned for King Arthurs Castle. The property is set over three floors and is surrounded by stunning coastal and countryside views with off road parking for two vehicles and storage for bikes or surfboards . The property comfortably sleeps 5/6 people with a family bathroom and an ensuite master bedroom giving stunning views along the coast. There are two spectacular sandy beaches nearby at Trebarwith Strand and Bossiney, both now famous for surfing, and plenty more on the north coast all within driving distance. You can explore further afield with Boscastle, Port Isaac, Newquay, Bude and the famous Eden Project an easy drive away. The coast path is just a five minute walk from the house. Owned and maintained by ourselves, a local family with many years of experience providing quality holiday accommodation, who live just a few doors away from Chynoweth.

What a gem!We stayed for 7 nights in the summer, and I can honestly say that it is one of the best places we've stayed in (and we have stayed in a few!).The location was great - a short 10min stroll into Tintagel, with all its little cafes, pubs, and shops. The bus stop was right outside the house, there was plenty of parking in front of the house and the views - the sea on one side, rolling hills and countryside on the other. The house had everything we needed - comfy beds, a king-size in the master bedroom, plenty of kitchen utensils and even Alexa so that I could put on some radio/ music. The house was newly refurbished, everything still felt new. Check in and check out with quick and hassle free. We spent the week exploring the local area(s). Boscastle, coastal walks, body boarding, the Eden Project and Newquay (we had a jet ski safari booked). We discovered the most wonderful farm shop just outside Boscastle that sold incredible cakes - and went back several times. The pubs in Tintagel are great - friendly service, huge portions and really good quality food.
