"Liked the traditional Japanese hotel style, as well as the onset which was very hot and was much needed after a day of skiing. Staff was very accommodating and helpful when needed"

"Stayed in mid August. Great place and location… only hicups were parking and the uphill distance to the lift. Having to ride bikes up the hill was not great start mid August but the had buke storagd and I would not mind the walk in Winter. Parking was a bit complicated and a bit of a pain to grab things and pack up but location trumped that inconvenience. I just tried to find time in winter but it appears booked out. Location was as a good as I have had in Nozowa - right in the heart of the...

"Located at the base of the ski area, this hotel has excellent and friendly service. Charlie, in particular, was a huge help in navigating getting to and from the hotel via train and taxi (we were after hours). We had the dragon suite, very suitable for families. The free shuttle to the train stations make getting around the region ( Snow Monkeys!) easy—but be mindful of the hours the busses and hotel vans run. I highly recommend the T Hotel at Ryuoo. "

"Nice quiet location, just close enough to walk to Akakura Kanko ski lifts with skis, and also to Akakura Village in the evenings. Very friendly staff and impeccable service."

"Very convenient location for skiing and dining. Impeccable service and great staff. Our room was big and well appointed. You could not do better in this area.

"The hotel is new, cleaned and chic. Only drawback is their drivers don’t speak English and there is only 1 restaurant. Hotel offers pick up and drop off at train station, all the ski parks nearby and restaurants between 9-6. breakfast buffet was great and their front desk staff are very helpful and speak good English. I checked in on a Sunday and left on a Thur, and there were some noisy kids running around the hallway at 7am on Thur which was a bit annoying. Special thanks to front desk...

"This place is a gem for our ski trip. Cosy lodge, our room was spacious, very comfortable beds, beautiful views and daily breakfast was a perfect start to the day. Location was perfect for us and just a few minutes away from the main ski resorts via a free shuttle. Has great amenities and comfortable facilities. The only improvements we would suggest is to give the toilet areas a renovation.
Overall, our stay was perfect, and a special thank you to Christo & Maggie going above and beyond to...

"Very old ryokan, even the wallpaper fell off here and there, but feels quite original and ancient, the onsen too, I wouldn’t rate it as a super good stay, but for the price, I would say it is quite worth it"

"Pensionatet är ganska enkelt, den närmaste omgivningen erbjuder i stort sett bara naturpromenader, det speciella här är ägarna! Mycket hjälpsamma, talar bra engelska och är intressanta att tala med!"

"Overall very nice accommodation and the shuttle driver was very nice. However, whoever actually manages the property really needs to do better with communication. The day of my arrival I was still trying to figure out how to actually get to and check into the property since no instructions were provided. I had to try to contact them multiple times and also had to reach out to hotels.com multiple times. I’ve been to Japan to snowboard before, I don’t need my hand held. However, traveling...

"It was a very nice stay. The place was so peaceful and quiet. Very impressed with the cleanliness. The staff are very polite and helpful. Sadly I just stayed 1 nite and it was raining., but we get to enjoy the hotel’s amenities. "
"We stayed for 3 nights with breakfast included. The property manager and staff were very nice and accommodative.
They gave us free use of the SUPs and kayaks which was lots of fun.
The rooms were nice and freshly renovated.
Highly recommended for either a summer stay to enjoy the lake activities or a winter stay to hit the nearby slopes.
Thanks!"
