"When my wife and I left on Sunday morning after a 2-night stay, it was like saying goodbye to family. Chris, Amanda and Luis are just the nicest folks! "Host was great during check-in. He showed me around the property. Driveway was a little rough. Definitely not made for sedans or lowered cars but my small suv did fine. Did not show on vrbo but very perfect water view. Main house does have other lists and the property services all listing. The property give off summer camp vibes. The yurt is nice the ac is a god sent. It was high 90s the whole time i was there. The beds are air mattresses but again still nice. Plenty of places to grill or cook...

"My husband and I travel often to the area. We booked this for the first time to visit my mom, who is dying of brain cancer. We were contacted on our drive up by the manager who told us the temperatures were going to be freezing Thanksgiving weekend and she informed us that I’m the heater was not sufficient for such weather. I told her our reasons for booking and asked if they could provide a refund, considering their listing does not specify such issues with heating. She told me no. It’s so sad...

"We really enjoyed our stay. Beautiful wooded property and nice people. Not quite as private as we expected because fire pits were shared at the lodge, but facility was clean, well kept, with lodge closing at 11:00 so no noise. Fire pits were nice and wood was provided with plenty of seats and picnic tables."

"This place is exactly what me and my cousins were looking for for a fun girls weekend! Ms. Vicki was so hospitable and sweet. She made us feel right at home and like family! "This lodge has a true mountain cabin feel, and the guest rooms reminded me of what you’d find in an average rental cabin bedroom—so set your expectations accordingly. I stayed here about a mile from downtown Blue Ridge, while my brother and sister-in-law stayed at a downtown hotel for more than three times the price of my room. At check-in, I mentioned that I have a heart condition and don’t sleep well, and I always request a quiet room. The front desk clerk carefully considered my request and placed me on the second floor. He was right—I was very comfortable. My room, and the hotel overall, was clean and presented exactly as a mountain lodge should. The bed was firmer than I’m used to, but I still slept well all three nights. The bathroom was nicely updated with granite counters and tiled floors. The only small issue was a loose sink handle that needed a set screw tightened, which I reported to the front desk. The TV was older (not a smart TV), but cable had plenty of choices, and I was able to connect my laptop via HDMI to stream YouTube. The location is another plus: the lodge sits in a quiet area within walking distance of an Ingles supermarket—very convenient. Overall, I had a great stay and will definitely be back!"
