"The food at the hotel was lovely. We had an evening meal and breakfast. The restaurant staff were very friendly and very attentive. The bar was adequately stocked, but I think they missed a trick. The hotel is pretty close to Penderyn distillery , yet stock nothing of their range. I for one would definitely have spent more at the bar if more Welsh or local beverages had been on offer. A black dragon cider would have been preferable to a bland Singha beer, or a penderyn single malt over whatever generic brand X whisky. The only other issue was the shower in the room was very underpowered. Not sure if it's a water pressure issue, but there was no way to use it effectively without having the shower head in you hand & even then it was not great. Overall, due to the lovely friendly team looking after us,.we would stay again."

"Plenty of room to park by the Guest House & as an occupational therapist, I was impressed that there was excellent provision for people with mobility issues in the room. It’s in a beautiful & peaceful area. Highly recommended. Da iawn!"

"My husband and I had a really lovely stay at the Usk & Railway Inn, from the friendly greeting at check in, the clean, good sized and comfortable room, with a good complimentary tray of tea, coffee and biscuits, and toiletries, to the superb evening meal (a fantastic Sunday roast), we had a wonderful nights sleep. It was finished off by a hearty cooked breakfast, which we both thoroughly enjoyed. Thank you both, you’re great hosts. "
