"Staff were very friendly and helpful, food was well cooked and reasonable in price. Parking was safe and easy and th egrounds, which lead to a park and the beach are wonderful. Our dog was welcome with us and well looked after in the hotel - much more so than some 'dog friendly' hotels."

"The staff were very welcoming and friendly.We had an evening meal which was really lovely and tasty and plenty of it .Our room was very clean and big enough for us,you can hear the traffic and people outside when going past as our room was by the entrance to the carpark but it was ok.Breakfast was a choice of tea,coffee,3 juices,pastries,yoghurt,cereals, toast,jam,marmalade,full english,eggs benedict so a great selection.Overall ill give our stay 10/10"

"Tired rooms..just grubbybreally and showing age. Main hotel under renovation. WiFi not working (blamed building works) restaurant which may be temporary resembles a staff canteen. Serves a purpose for business stop over and location by the river very nice"

"Great sized rooms, underfloor heating was lovely, hot tub was brilliant. Very much recommend this house. We went as two families with kids and had a great time. Really homely, comfy and a great place to stay. Thank you1"

"The location was lovely & property itself was neat & clean. Keys were easy to find, kitchen well equipped & parking nearby. Entrance decking was filled with moss so slipped the first night in dark. Living room heating didn't work so did bathroom extractor. Found our way around these.. but failed with bath tub. Took best part of a day for few inches of water to drain. Hopefully, these will be fixed for future guests."

"Outstanding young Husband and Wife making everything perfect for our stay. Several places to eat with in 10 minutes. Has a nice spacious sitting room / living room to relax. Umbrella are by the door for guests. Love the decor. "

"Beautiful location, views across fields and deer for neighbours. Snug and comfortable perfect for a couple. Single track road can be a bit tricky for dog walking so short leads and an eye out for cars. The Anchor at Cockwood is good for beer and food. Only snag we hit with the cottage - the toaster only toasts on one side."

"A lovely setting for getting back to basics. Josh and Natalie we're incredible hosts who couldn't have done more. Highly recommend the breakfast hamper, the food was delicious with proper, yellow yolked, eggs! Our kids loved seeing the alpacas, chickens, guinea pigs, ducks and the glamping element. Can't recommend it enough."
