"Everything was fine until 6:30am when I was dozing in bed and my daughter had been in the shower room for few minutes. Suddenly I hear loud bangs on my door. It was hotel staff claiming that the fire alarm had gone off in my room. I got dressed and opened the door. There was obviously no smoke or steam or anything in the air, as the staff member could see. I underlined that I didn’t smoke, that there was no fire anywhere and that there obviously had not been any fire. Nevertheless they insisted I open my windows, and they left. Now I completely understand that regardless of whether it is a false alarm or not, they need to check the room if an alarm goes off. But there was no apology at all or even sympathy that they had put me out. When I went to the front desk to check out and started to mention about the fire alarm, the receptionist aggressively interrupted me, stated my room number and proceeded to launch into astonishingly rude false accusation that I had twice set off the fire alarm—something she said had never happened in the hotel before. I briefly defended and pointed out that myself—I don’t smoke, there had been no fire at all, the staff member that came into the room could see that there was no fire or smoke, and it was obviously some kind of false signal. This did nothing to ease the aggression of the receptionist. I left shocked at how they had treated me. "

"Comfortable, good sized (for Europe) room, excellent location in city center. Only thing we weren’t happy with was our check in experience, but that was a system design issue, not the on-site staff’s fault. They should ditch their self check-in kiosks, which weren’t able to work for any guests when we arrived, and just put a proper registration desk back in and staff it full time. They’re clearly trying to save on labor costs, but it started off the otherwise pleasant stay on a negative. "

"No food available in the evening and nearby pubs extremely smelly and unkept. Drove for twenty mins to find a country pub👍"

"Be aware when checking in to this property that you must travel to another area to collect the keys (Welwyn Garden City )which is not ideal as we had no transport the keys must then be returned to this place ( 7 min drive ) at best all I can say is the apartment was grubby and tired at worst it was dirty broken lamp shade, dammaged chairs and table, stained bed linen, dirty bath mat the list goes on. Its a shame as the apartment was idealy located near the shops and town centre but wont be staying again. "

"The toaster wasn't there. Also there were no saucepans and the television didn't work as there was no connection. Wasn't able to resolve with host as not able to access messages or call for most of the short stay.Felt the property more suited to contractors than families. However was located close to the places we planned on visiting during our single day of touring having arrived the previous evening."

"Plenty of room for the family! This place is perfect if you are visiting U of Hertsfordshire. Quiet neighborhood and driveway parking. Anne was a great host. She even accommodated our California temperature preferences. All of the bathrooms were really nice--important for a group with as many ladies as ours."
