"Our room was good. I really liked the sheets and bed, slept good. Def worth the price . The view was from the courtyard which was nice. We didn’t use the pool ran out of time. Fridge decent size in it. There is a DG & nice Goodwill across the street. Many restaurants etc surrounds it. The restaurant meals looked good but we didn’t eat. I got a medium black coffee and a small chocolate milk and it came out like $12! So you might as well go to Starbucks right down the road or Dunkin’s. Check out Miami street w all the shops. Also beaches are close to drive to like within 10-15 mins. Would stay again. We didn’t want to spend a lot as we wouldn’t be in the room much so if you want something on the cheaper side without the frills stay here."

"The overall property location and appearance is great. The outside when you immediately pull up to check in is a little rougher than I'd like but the pool and workout areas are very nice. I feel the restaurant food was great and affordable as well as the outside and inside bars. I'd stay here again if we visit the area."

"I hesitated about whether to write this review as I don’t want to hurt a small family owned business but ultimately decided that there are factors here they can control and people need to know what they are booking. I have stayed in my fair share of budget accommodation. I am also not fussy or a germaphobe. But I had a very hard time not getting picked out by my room for the two nights I was there. My room smelled like a keg party every time I entered. The floors felt vaguely sticky. I found hair, coins and dirt on the floors. The blanket on the bed was stained (sheets appeared clean). A hair on the towels hanging in the bathroom and in the shower drain. Random gunk stuck on the bathroom walls. I wore my flip flops in my room the whole time including in the shower. The door had only one bottom lock and I didn’t feel safe (though I’m sure the neighborhood and Venice in general are low crime). I can’t say what the pool or bbq area are like. I didn’t see them at all and wasn’t told about them at check in, but I would not have wanted to spend any time there. Anyway, I won’t go on bashing the place, as I think this paints a picture. I am fine with a very basic room, but it should not be a biohazard."

"Our stay at the Howards Johnson Hotel in Venice was truly exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and well taken care of. A very special thank you to the manager for running such a smooth and guest-focused operation, and to the entire staff, both night and morning shift, for their kindness, professionalism, and constant willingness to help. One of the highlights of our trip was starting the Legacy Trail right from the hotel. It made the experience incredibly convenient, and the ride itself was absolutely spectacular,peaceful, scenic, and unforgettable. The hotel provided everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay, and the positive energy of the team made all the difference. We would definitely come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Venice!"

"We had a great time at Casa Bella in Venice Beach. The house was perfect for quests having bathrooms in every bedroom! It was close to town, beaches and golf courses of which we enjoyed all. Kim and Anton were very responsive to any requests or questions we had about our stay, and the pride they take in their property is evident. The pool was perfect for our stay very relaxing for an evening meal. We would highly recommend this property to couples or families who want to visit the area."
