The hotel is right on the canal with beautiful views. Friendly staff and the rooftop bar is absolutely perfect for cocktails and snacks. I would stay there again.

This hotel was very nice. We enjoyed the free breakfast in the morning.
Great place to stay when you are in Venice we parked at garage San Marco and walked 5min to the hotel. It’s about 20-25min walk from st mark’s square but it’s so beautiful and entertaining that you do not feel the distance. There is water taxi right in front. We had lots of fun.
I want to be very objective about my last stay in Venice. Literally the place is re close to the train station. The experience was incredible, the hotel has a mix of elegant looks and the native culture of Venice. It is very clean, the staff is very friendly. And really very comfortable. The area is very strategic and also the place is very faithful to the photos it shows. Thank you very much for making my stay in Venice something beautiful. I will definitely stay again!
We had a wonderful stay at the Carlton...convenient to shops, restaurants, sightseeing and only a few mins away from bus and train station. The hotel was spotless, clean, friendly attentive staff and excellent breakfast. Look forward to a return visit!
The hotel itself was nice. The older gentleman at the front desk was either sexist or racist (I'm Asian). He really only acknowledged my husband (white) the entire time, not just upon check-in. This is even after he found out that the reservation was mine. Pretty disappointing to have that be your last experience leaving such a beautiful country.
Fun hotel right across from the Venice yrain station. You can see it from station exit, just a short walk across a bridge...or swim across the canal if you're adventurous, and maybe want jail time. ;) Hotel hosts events for locals in evenings, music etc. Fun Halloween party! Excellent customer service!
Booked this hotel sort of last minute because it was had a lift and one of our travelers had injured her knee. Also it was the only somewhat reasonably priced hotel left and near the train station. The staff was not particularly friendly or helpful. For the price of $600 US for two nights we had an inside room that looked out over a roof and a hotel walls, a very tiny double room with a nice upgraded bath. I was bitten in the night by something- I’m convinced that it was because I left the window ajar, no screens in Europe, which made it also a bit noisy but we were so tired we still slept ok. I would not recommend - I felt it was overpriced but you still might choose for location. You will pay significantly more for a view.
It was an easy hotel to get to with the help of a porter as it is close to the station and transport from cruise terminal.
The location was idyllic, on the Grand Canal!
the foyer was lovely and the reception staff were friendly and efficient. We were shown to our room by the porter. it was a lovely room off a garden courtyard. Room was a bit dated but was clean and tastefully decorated, lovely big bathroom. Breakfast was very plentiful and a good selection of food hot and cold. I would stay here again.
Make sure you put your fan on other wise you hear everything in am. Not good

Whilst the property was very conveniently situated to transport facilities it did not represent value for money. In need of renovation and at £200 per night there were no complimentary bottles of water, robes, slippers or coffee making facilities in the room.
Great service, friendly and knowledgable staff, room very comfortable, modern and clean. Good selection of foods for breakfast including gluten free options. Within approx 2 minutes walking time to beach.
Wonderful Hotel, Amazing Location, Will stay again
The staff were excellent. The receptionists were very helpful and gave us fabulous itinerary tips. The breakfast was delicious and relaxed. Loved the roof top bar & entertainment. The location was brilliant and central. We had a balcony which looked over the grand canal & at 30° heat to arrive back to air conditioned coolness was appreciated. X
We stayed at the Hotel Carlton for one night because it was conveniently located near the train and bus station in Venice (which made it very easy to get to the airport in the morning). The staff was very friendly and helpful, the building itself was quite pretty and the rooftop bar was a great spot to grab a drink and watch the sunset.
Hotel was very nice and a great location. Easy to walk to from the trains and buses. We had an issue with our AC leaking but the the staff remedied the problem to our satifaction.
Loved the location. Had a water view and was well worth it. Tha hotel is aged and beeds many updates. Furniture in unit is worn. They present an antique look but old and worn id different from antique. The ceiling above the stair is very cracked and stained, evidence of previous leaks

Reception was prompt n courteous.
Foyer bright n elegant.
Rooms were disappointing- very basic n no slippers or added blanket for cold nights.
Loved it! Excellent location (right across the canal from the train station). Also a gorgeous view of the Grand Canal. Highly walkable and steps from restaurants and cafes. 10/10!
The bathroom smelt of sewage we had to keep the door closed at all times. In order to make it through the night. At one point we notice the bathroom fan was unplugged so we plugged it back in thinking it was a mistake… it was not a mistake it made the smell worse. The bathroom definitely dampened the experience.
