"I usually don't book motels, but I decided to take a chance on El Castell given all the positive reviews. I came for the Monterey Bay Half Marathon and everything worked out perfectly. The room was clean and well lit, and the mattress was pretty comfy. Would stay again!"

"Suite was so great! So large with 2 bathrooms and 2 patios. Great view on the 17th hole. Staff was so welcoming and accommodating. Lobby & bar is beautiful. Pool and hot tub were great temps. Gym was large for a hotel and hand everything you’d need. The free s’mores box and fire pits were such a cute addition to the stay. Wasn’t prepared for the $20 parking fee, $35 resort fee and $5 taxes (all extras added PER DAY) which was an additional $120 for a 2 day stay. "

"This is a very cute house with lots of space for sleeping and playing in the big yard. It is located in a small cul-de-sac near a park with playgrounds, so it’s a great place to stay with kids! The host is also very helpful and communicative, proactively checking in and even providing recommendations when I asked about good local beaches for kids. Definitely recommend staying at this property!"
