"There were some pros and cons to our stay here. Pros: Seamless check in process, perfect size for our family of 4 plus 1 friend, great/safe neighborhood, convenient location to get to a lot of spots, walking distance to a park. Cons: the pictures are quite outdated on the listing, the backyard is overgrown and looks like it hasn’t been cared for in a long time, the cleaning crew did a pretty poor job (ie a used diaper in one of the bedrooms, hair in the bathroom/tub), the bathtub had mildew in the grout (which probably would have come off if it were actually cleaned). Despite the cons, it was a nice place to stay for our trip to the area and would consider it again if the backyard was in better shape. "

"The house needs serious maintenance. Things like toilets that keep running, a wall fireplace that doesn't work correctly (which is your main source of heat), a garbage can with a missing wheel that is covered in spider webs (that needs moved to the curb for garbage pickup) are the major things. There are also minor things like paint touch-ups, replacing damaged cooking utensils, throwing away broken decor, and replacing batteries in clocks. We also had an issue during check-in but the owners were helpful in trying to resolve it to the best of their ability. "

"Host was very accommodating to any questions or needs that we had. Immediately answered the phone. The house was perfect for us! We had 9 people including a couple of young grandchildren and they had a blast from the fort in the bedroom to the backyard playground. "

"We had the best stay at this Monterey house. I was in town for work and tacked on a little girls trip, and it was the perfect blend of cozy and convenient. The location made everything easy, and the house itself was so comfortable and welcoming.Bonus points from me personally, as someone with severe migraine, there were no heavy scents or artificial fragrances in the home. That made such a difference and let me truly relax. We would absolutely stay here again."
