We cannot fault anything during our stay, hospitality was great every member of the team that we came across were friendly, courteous and helpful. Our room was really nice, clean & fresh, bed was comfortable too. Breakfast was good, lots of and freshly cooked. We also ate in the evenings and again a good variety, fresh and good value for money. A shoutout to the chef 👍 Bar staff were amazing too, always checking in to see everything was good and they were really friendly and approachable. We had an amazing stay.

I enjoyed my stay at the White Lion. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated. The ensuite was very nice, especially the shower. Breakfast options were very satisfying.

Will definately return here. Very close to Blackgang chine. Very friendly staff. This was a family holiday with two cycling and the bikes were stored away safely and secure. Breakfast amazing. Highly recommend.

really pleased, very comfortable and staff were great. Food was very nice (especially the breakfast). Only slight issue is the room was quite cold but did eventually warm up with the air con unit. There was a note saying new windows are being put in though and it was -2 outside

Excellent break.

Had a great stay.Room stocked with tea and coffee. Bed really comfy and room spotless. Ate in the restaurant every night with the produce used been local. The standard and quality was higher and was well priced. Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choices and set you up for the day. The staff team were brilliant and very accommodating. Would definitely stay again.

It’s a lovely pub with a nice atmosphere and really good breakfast. The staff were all so nice to us and went the extra mile to help us in different ways, such as making up the sofa bed, and giving advice on walking routes. Our room had a bath as well as shower which was brilliant. It was spacious. The bathroom has a sloping floor which is a bit strange but not a problem.

Thé room was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly. However the organisation in the kitchen was poor with very long waits although the food when it arrived was very good. I felt sorry for the excellent front of house staff who were let down by the kitchen

The room was lovely and clean the noise was bad. Family room right next to road windows old no soundproofing boy racers up and down road immediately outside room. Stair carpet needs. Good clean not good first impression. Didn’t know we had booked Expedia 24 hours before luckily had room clean and ready and available. Breakfast delicious had no brown sauce and only one mushroom would be nice to have another, other than that best breakfast ever cooked to perfection. Would stay again if they soundproof windows?

A lovely room with an excellent en-suite bathroom. Fabulous walk in shower with super large white fluffy towels & Nice toiletries. A kettle and coffee machine in the room with well stocked choice of tea, coffee, hot choc plus biscuits. The bed was very comfortable but for me unfortunately I found the pillows too lumpy. Your not able to open the windows but there is air-con that’s of a good standard along with the option of using an ordinary electric fan. In the morning breakfast is inc as part of the nightly tariff. There was a very good choice on the menu and all was cooked well. Delicious start to the day. Again as a preference to myself (being someone who eats fresh fruit every morning) it would have been nice to have some fresh fruit on offer other than just a fruit juice, this would have made my breakfast perfect. We also ate in the restaurant each evening, again the food and staff all great. So Would I recommend the White Lion to others for a stay, definitely yes. My first visit to the Isle of Wight, people so friendly, I’ll be back.

Great spot.

Really nice spot, great parking that feels secure. Rooms nice and comfortable. Very nice stay I would stay again. Would have been better if the bed settee was not made up as I was a single traveler, rather had as a settee rather than a made up double bed. Great bacon !! Was super tasty. Breakfast was very good.

Enjoyable night at the White Lion

We only spent one night at the White Lion, but had a very enjoyable stay. The room was spacious, clean and well looked after. The bathroom was modern with everything we needed for our stay. The breakfast was very tasty with quite a few choices, we also had dinner, which was just as good. It is in a quite location, which was just what we wanted.
