I was giving a room with a view of the wall and car parking area at the bottom. Quite noisy area at night. When I asked for a quiter room/side, by calling down to the reception the inital customer service person, the telephone from the hotel room cut off. However, I went downstairs to request for another room and all that was to no avail.
I waited till the morning and the customer service then authorised a room. I believe to be based on the noise and availability of the more better room with a viewof the lake, after I had presented the email that stated that I was entitled to a free upgrade as a Gold Member. Nevertheless, the agent gave us another stating that it had a lake view.. ???
The room had a view of the courtyard with no lake view.
