"We stayed at Hotel Motto for 2 nights at the start of 2026. The checkin experience was excellent and came with a complimentary beverage. The room (Art Deluxe) was quirky as expected, beautifully designed and appointed. The toilet was seperate from the main bathroom which was ideal. The bed was comfortable although the individual duvet covers take some getting used to. The hotel bakery was an excellent way to start each day. The hotel location was also ideally located next to a metro stop and the immediate area was lively with lots of shopping and dining options. I would recommend and return to Hotel Motto without hesitation. "

"There are two sides of this hotel. We were on the old side. I would ask when booking what side you’re in. Our bed was very comfortable and typical to most European hotels the room was not very large. The location is perfect!! Seems out of the way and quiet when you get there but you’re literally a very, very short walk to everything. Trolley stops are very close and a five minute walk to Rathausplatz. Would definitely stay there again. "

"Well located hotel, walking distance to Opera house, Hoffburg and Kunsthistorishes Museum. Staff was professional and very attentive. Room was spacious and well layout, had a lovely view! Restaurant was nice,well designed. Would definitely stay next time I am in Vienna. "

"This hotel is an art deco gem with fantastic, friendly vibes. We booked the Ideale Plus Deluxe Double Room and it was charming, spacious, and comfortable. The pillows are like sleeping on a cloud. There was a complimentary bottle of wine in the room, and it was very clean. The bathroom doesn't do much to mask any sounds, so if you're not at that level yet with your partner, it's something to consider. The shower was great and you could strip paint with the water pressure. The location is perfect, close to transport, and a 30-40 minute walk to everything. Very safe at night. The bar is beautiful and the staff are friendly and capable, except for the older server with the stubble, who's a pompous knob with an attitude. The thing that irked me about this place is that the best four tables in the house, located in the four corners of the room were reserved every night, all night, with nobody ever sitting at them. I got the impression that the staff's friends come often and they keep seats open in case they happen to pass by. They force you to sit at the bar while these four tables sit empty all night. Might be something for management to address. Outside of that, I highly recommend this hotel without any regrets booking here. We will definitely be staying here the next time we visit Vienna which is once per year, me being from Canada, and my partner from Austria. Thank you to the staff for making our stay so enjoyable! You're the best!!!"
