Excellent accommodation, welcoming hosts. No need to take anything extra, very well equipped. Very clean and comfortable, home from home. Amazing views and sunrises.
We loved every moment of our relaxing stay at Little Byways, It was beautifully presented, comfortable, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. The views are spectacular and the location is ideal for walking the coastal paths and exploring the surrounding area. Jane was friendly, responded quickly and we were made to feel very welcome. We would love to return in the future and would highly recommend this property. Thank you for a wonderful holiday.
Had a lovely time returning to this fabulous property. So many places to visit along the coast and inland. And if you’re looking for dining options you are spoilt for choice in Padstow and the surrounding area. Can particularly recommend The Old Mill Bistro in Little Petheric.
We felt very comfortible at Little Byways and thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the spacious and perfectly furnished house. The house is perfectly located for all the sites in this part of Cornwall. Jane and Roger were wonderful hosts, unobstrusive yet always available to answer any questions. Thanks a lot!
We have just come back from a week’s stay at this lovely home. We were first greeted by a bottle of Prosecco and some scones which was a lovely treat! The home is so spacious and has everything you need. We cooked most nights and the kitchen was well equipped! It is located down a private lane and is very quiet with stunning views. The location was perfect as you are only 5 minutes from Padstow. We will definitely be returning next year.
Absolutely wonderful place to stay lovely views so peaceful and quiet would recommend it, would definitely stay there again not far from padstow and beaches
Great accommodation in a good location. Close to a Tesco for shopping and padstow for walks and shopping. Arrived to greeting from owner and a cream tea. Bonus. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Little Byways is a Perfection Plus Holiday Home. Jane introduced herself personally on our arrival and welcomed us with scones, jam and cream. The home is so comfortable with attention to detail everywhere you look. The washer/dryer was a bonus and the gorgeous garden was a nice area to relax at the end of a busy day sightseeing. The cows in the paddock visited every afternoon. This is easily the best home we have stayed in on our travels and the location was perfect. We travelled from Australia to holiday in Cornwall and our whole experience was wonderful. Thank you Jane and Roger. I highly recommend staying in Little Byways. A perfect little bolt hole. Very peaceful and quiet. Lovely garden with stunning views over the fields to the estuary. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in little byways.
What a great place to be. We very much loved this wonderful cottage. It is so pretty nice and equipped with everything you need for a relaxed stay. Great view from living room and bed room over the fields down to the bay. And what a wonderful garden to relax. The cottage is located perfect to discover all the nice places of Cornwall. So happy to be there
The house is spacious for two and had everything that we wanted for a few days away. Close enough to Padstow but out in the country with wonderful views over the fields to the river in the distance. Easy to get to lots of coves to enjoy the sea. Communication was easy and gave us all that we needed. Would definitely chose again if we go back to the area.
Gorgeous, well equipped, comfortable property in a peaceful location with stunning views. Immaculate throughout. Lovely garden. Everything has been thoughtfully designed there. Loved it and will be back again in future!
We were meeting up with some friends who we hadn’t seen for a while, my parents were looking after the dogs so wanted something a bit special and little byways was that something special, comfy quiet, private with amazing views, it had everything you needed home from home, would absolutely recommend.
We thoroughly enjoyed our all-too-short stay at Little Byways. With plenty to see and do within a 10-15 minute drive, we didn’t need to travel far, even in November when many places were closed for the winter. In the strong winds and rain we were warm and cosy, and during the sunny spells it was wonderful to watch the ever-changing light across the landscape. We really appreciated all the thoughtful touches which make a holiday cottage feel more like a home. So glad we found Little Byways.
Everything was perfect. Little Byways is a beautiful holiday home. It’s spotlessly clean and superbly equipped, even with a pair of binoculars to admire the wonderful views.
Little byways is the perfect location for coastal walks, cycle rides, fabulous beaches, lovely coastal towns to visit and country pubs to eat in. Both myself and my husband would highly recommend it. We visited in December and chose to eat in three nights out of five as we wanted to spend time relaxing at the house and making use of the cosy log burner.
This beautiful property was perfect for a couple. Wonderful open plan, large, modern, tasteful downstairs and romantic double bedroom up small open staircase. Fabulous views from huge picture windows across to the estuary and Rock beyond. A beautiful, well stocked garden with seating. Every comfort had been considered. At the end of a short lane with no passing traffic - we loved the peace in contrast to the busy Cornwall villages in August. Will definitely recommend.
We were allowed to enter anytime because nobody was checking out which was nice. we found a cream tea waiting with a bottle of prosecco and some milk which was a nice touch. The house was very clean and bright. The garden was immaculate as well and very nice to sit in. Only downside was there was a Bengal cat that kept appearing and when the folding doors were open it kept trying to come in. Also when we put the rubbish out we found it had left a dead Rabbit by the bin. I know it's the country but it was just a bit upsetting. We did get stuck seeing the farmer everyday but again it being the countryside it can't be helped. The location was good too. 5 minutes drive to Padstow and Tesco and so many beaches within a short drive. Lovely walk we did along the estuary too and excellent directions from Jane. I would definitely recommend a visit if you're looking for a relaxing and luxurious visit. 5*****
Clean, light, airy, spacious, very comfortable, very well appointed - I felt at home here. Decor, furnishing, amenities, equipment - all more than you would expect and above standard. Good WiFi connexion - Bluetooth speaker.
Location - in a quiet cul-de-sac with parking off the main road but no traffic noise. Great outlook- calming views across fields over the estuary of the River Camel to the coastal village of Rock the other side of the water.
Very nice terrace and small garden with furniture - unfortunately rainy, windy weather meant I didn’t get the opportunity to sit outside.
Padstow is a few minutes away by car, and a reasonable Tesco for provisions. Plenty of local restaurants. Fans of Asian food might like The Journeyman at Mellingey Mill about 4/5 minutes drive away where I had Nepalese lamb curry - excellent.
Owners pleasant, unobtrusive but nearby if needed.
Little Byways is such a nice place, great value for money - exceeds expectations.
Oh my word, this cottage went above and beyond our expectations. We sat looking out of the window most of the time, it was just beautiful. Watching all the birds, foxes, rabbits, as well as cows and sheep in the nearby fields and a distant view of the sea.
There was plenty of space, very comfortable, a large bathroom downstairs with a bath and an ensuit with walk in shower.
Bed is lovely and soft, note to self though, its very bright as the morning sun shines right through the window as it comes over the hill, whilst I witnessed some spectacular sunrises, I did have to buy an eye mask lol.
The kitchen has everything you need, the lounge is very comfortable with a lovely relaxing colour scheme, and 2 sets of patio doors which open on to a well established garden. I sat most mornings having my coffee watching the wildlife and enjoying the sun.
We will be going back next year, if I could move in I would, its not very often we both don't want to leave a holiday let.
We stayed at this stunning retreat for a week in August. The property is set in a beautiful location of rolling hills and views to Padstow with the company of gorgeous cows in the adjacent field. The garden is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the peace and lovely plants. The hosts have thought of everything you could need in any weather and provided comfort with style and good design. The location is ideal for nearby historic villages and local bays and beaches and Lost Gardens of Heligan, Eden Project, Mevagissey, and other south coast places are less than an hour away. We enjoyed visiting Falmouth to see the tall ships and Fowey for the regatta. Don’t miss hiring bikes and cycling the Camel Trail, a beautiful route taking in the river and woods on a flat route with lovely sustainable refreshment stops on the way.
Wonderful restaurants and pubs in the village, Padstow and neighbouring beaches including Harlyn Bay with car park, cafe and beach bar facilities with good surf and amazing views from the cliffs.
Thank you Jane, it was lovely to meet you, we would love to return in future.
