"The room was clean and beautiful; however the air conditioning was not working properly. Maintenance came to fix it twice and stated it was fixed but it was not. They even offered to come in again during my last night but I declined because I didn’t want my day to be interrupted again and it seems as though the fixes were not working at all. The temperature in the room was tolerable during the night, so I wasn’t uncomfortably hot. I would recommend and even stay at this hotel again if I ever revisited Kona."

"I travel to the Big Island for work several times a year, and my wife and I always love staying at the Golf Villas. The Mauna Lani resort area is hands-down the spot if you’re looking for peace and quiet, beautiful scenery, incredible beaches with great snorkeling and swimming, while still being close to pretty much everything.All of the units are independently owned, and on this last trip the owners, Dean and Marsha, were incredible. I arrived the day before Hurricane Lala hit and was working down in South Kona, where we had no power that weekend. When we checked into the condo on Monday, it was amazing to finally settle into such a beautiful, comfortable place.The unit has everything you could want or need—washer and dryer, access to the private beach club, plenty of beach towels, umbrellas, and all the little things that make traveling easier.But honestly, the best part was the aloha and communication from Dean and Marsha and their local contact on the island. They were incredibly welcoming and responsive.I’ll definitely be back. Since I travel to the Big Island regularly for work, this will absolutely be the unit I try to stay in from now on. Highly recommended!"

"Beautiful condo in immaculate condition. Powerful A/C. Nice view of the grounds. Friendly neighbors. Beach pass to Mauna Lai is a total perk, a secluded beach with good snorkeling. We were in this unit during hurricane Lala and felt very safe. A big plus for poke lovers is Pono Deli in Waikoala Village-some of the best poke ever!"

"The property was really nice! Love the layout. Rooms were nice and spacious. Had everything we needed. Generously pre-stocked with everything you could need for a week for a family of 5. All the beach essentials too! Grill on the lanai was a plus! Owners were very quick in responding. They even checked in w/ us before, during & after hurricane LaLa hit. The property is very well protected in the complex and we experienced little to no issues. Never lost power. Just a few fallen palm fronds on the walkway which were cleaned up immediately. Will definitely be back!Thank you, Kimby & Ken for a great core memory!"
