"The property is vey wellocated to access motorways. Its ina secure precinct that can be walked at night to nearby restauarants. Also daytime lots of boutique shops. Its got GREAT character in its movie star theming. Stagf are extremely and welcomingly friendly. Breakfast was very good, good variety of continental breakfast items. Dinner previous night was good but the delay receibing staters and main meal was not good at all, had manager apologies. But we intend returning in future as overall it ticks all the boxes we need"

"I booked two rooms at the Capital Hotel in Melrose for a business trip. Upon arrival, we were informed that there was no record of our booking, despite us having a confirmation for that same day. After presenting the confirmation, we were told that the booking had actually been made at the Capital Hotel in Sandton. We again showed our confirmation clearly stating Melrose. After some time, the manager came to assist the front desk. Only then were we informed that a group booking had extended their stay, and as a result, our reservation had been moved to the Sandton property without any prior notification. In over 30 years of business travel, I have never experienced anything like this. The lack of communication, poor handling of the situation, and overall unprofessional approach suggest that management is not adequately overseeing basic hospitality standards. To make matters worse, no refund, complimentary meal, or even a simple gesture of goodwill was offered to compensate for the inconvenience caused. A very disappointing and unacceptable experience."
