George and Dave were excellent and really welcoming. Breakfast was incredible every morning and requests were not a problem. The rooms are really clean and secure. We were in Washington DC for vacation and whenever we decide to go back, we'll definitely be staying at Malolo B&B again.

We loved our time at this B&B. George and David are wonderful hosts and made us feel so welcome. We have stayed at a lot of different spaces over the last ten years of travels and this one is one of the more memorable. The room was bright, clean and relaxing. We slept well both evenings. The best parts were the delicious breakfasts and fun conversations with our hosts. They are a kind, friendly and engaging couple. We were given lots of great tips and they readily answered our questions about places to eat/visit. The photo shoot at the end was fun. The location provides a quiet spot with easy access to D.C. the surrounding region. We suggest taking scooters around the Capitol at night and visiting the nearby National Arboretum. We would happily stay here again when in the area.

1st Bears win in 2023
Loved staying here. Will only stay here on any future trips. George was an excellent chef and chauffeur. He even stayed up after midnight to pick us up at the metro stop after a football game. Enjoyed our conversations with Dave & George. They were very helpful & knowledgeable with transportation & things to do in the area. It was nice waking up to the smell of a delicious breakfast every morning. Would recommend staying here 100%.

This was my first bed in breakfast. When I go back to Washington an excellent place to stay up. I would recommend it to anybody if I could give him 10 stars. I'd give him 10 stars.

This was our first time staying at a B&B. I was super impressed. This place was absolutely wonderful. The hosts were super friendly and made you feel like you were at your own home. Very quiet at night and the rooms were super nice. Didn’t take long to fall asleep and stay asleep. The bed was very comfortable. (At least myself and my husband felt comfortable). Chef George was so nice to talk to. I thoroughly enjoyed our conversations and he was helpful when we had questions about sightseeing and where to go. Really, my list of good things to say could keep going and going. I have nothing negative to say. I will definitely recommend and come back again. Thank you both for making my D.C trip enjoyable. A gem in a DC neighborhood
This was our first Bed and Breakfast stay and it did not disappoint. In fact, it may have spoiled us for future B&Bs. The house is in the middle of the neighborhood. The neighbors were friendly and we felt comfortable there. The proprietors, George and Dave, made us feel like we were family. The accommodations were clean, comfortable and just what we needed for our first visit to DC. The breakfasts were delicious!! The bed was so comfortable that we didn't want to get up and leave each day!! George was a wonderful resource on how to navigate the City. This place is a gem and we can't wait to get back there!!

If you are ever in the DC area I highly recommend staying at Malolo Bed and Breakfast! Chef Jorge and David were ao welcoming and friendly. They gave us tons of idea of things to do in the area (which we will definitely be back to do). The breakfast Jorge cooked for us each morning was plentiful and delicious! We had fun conversations and a lot of laughs with them. The room was colorful and decorated so nicely- felt like we were somewhere other than DC. The bed was so comfy too! We will be back for sure!

We had never stay at a Bed and Breakfast in the US before Malolo and what a wonderful surprise! George and David provided exceptional hospitality from when we arrived until the very end of our stay. Our room was beautifully decorated and cleaned spotless everyday. Breakfast in the morning was delicious and included a nice variety of dishes. David and George created a familial atmosphere filled with lively and fun conversation as well as insider’s knowledge about the city and helpful tips on how to navigate it. We associate a lot of our wonderful memories of DC with our stay at Malolo and we look forward to go back for our next trip!! Nigel and Chiara

Highly recommend
It was excellent, first time staying at an B&B and it’s going to be hard to compare future stays to this once, they set a high standard. Breakfast was delicious every morning, my complements to Chef George.👍 Very knowledgeable about the area (Washington DC) and could even tell you what buses to catch. Great host with George and David!! If you ever go to Washington DC, I would recommend Malolo B&B over any hotel in the area.

Amazing Bed and Breakfast in D.C.
We had a great time visiting D.C. for the weekend. Staying at Malolo was a big part of that. We were treated like family the whole time. The hosts were super friendly and went over and above to make sure we had everything we needed. We will definitely be staying here again if we take another trip to D.C. We will also be recommending them to our friends.

We just loved our stay with Jorge and David. The room was lovely, close to the metro since I didn't want to rent a car. Jorge is an amazing cook. Both are wonderful hosts and make you feel like family!! I couldn't ask for a nicer stay at a 5 star hotel, which I have done many times, but will come back to Malolo Bed and Breakfast when I'm in the DC area again. Thank you Jorge and David for everything !!!

Sorry that you dont like the great neighbors you saw color before you even walked in the area. That is very sad that you choose to write a review based on an area. I do highly recommend that you go on google maps and look for your kind of area you wish to stay in before you go though all the trouble on booking a room Bed and Breakfast place are in great neighborhoods not in a downtown setting do your research for your future booking and it will save you a lot of headaches:) re all our review and you see that our guest are here to enjoy the colorful atmosphere in our City, neighborhood, and bed & Breakfast So sorry you got to miss out on our wonderful breakfast and chatting with our great great:) We wish you the best Happy Holidays

The owners were very personable and professional. They gave us awesome advice re: sightseeing and transportation options for Washington DC. The breakfast each day was awesome. My wife and I were VERY pleased with the comfort and decor of our room.

Spacious, beautiful, immaculate and delicious
We were so happy with Jorge and David at this beautiful, spacious, well-appointed and comfortable B & B. As other reviewers have mentioned, Jorge is an amazing cook, and you feel like old friends with both hosts immediately. Their home is immaculate updated and warm. We felt completely comfortable and safe in the neighborhood. It is an urban setting, not in the heart of town, but very easy to get around and David and Jorge will even drive you to the metro. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return!

This was a wonderful Bed & Breakfast stay. The interior of the house and rooms have a Polynesian theme. The room we stayed in was huge and had plenty of closet space, internet TV and Alexia. The bathroom was very modern and had a large shower. The breakfast every morning was awesome! Chef George even makes eggs to order and can cater to individual dietary needs. They provided Metro cards and explained how to use the Metro system and provided transportation to and from the nearest Metro station. They also provided a promotional discount code to use with Uber. The host were very knowledgeable for information on sightseeing and dining options in DC. We enjoyed their company more then visiting the sights in the city. Overall and excellent stay and nothing negative to comment about Malolo Bed & Breakfast. We will definitely stay with them again in the future!

My husband and I prefer to stay at B&B's over hotels.The Malolo Bed and Breakfast was hands down one of the best! From the initial warm welcome to the friendly farewell our stay here was wonderful. Dave and chef George go above and beyond. They provided us with metro cards to use during our stay (which you load at the terminal.) We were dropped off at the metro station and picked up in the evening at no extra cost. They also gave us some great tips for our first visit to DC to save time and avoid burnout. After a lot of walking around DC we came back to a clean room with a firm, comfortable king size bed, and plenty of hot water in the bathroom for a nice soak or shower after the days exercise.. Each morning we awoke to a delicious meal provided by chef George. There was always a hot cooked meal and plenty of fresh fruit, Greek yogurt with all the toppings, cold cuts and cheeses. They also provide cereal or your choice of toasts if that is more to your liking. And there was lots of interesting banter around the breakfast table. If you're looking for a great place to stay during your visit to DC look no further. I highly recommend staying at the Malolo Bed and Breakfast you wont regret it. Hubby and I will definitely be going back.

The property was old, but updated with the latest technology, fixtures & finishes. Bedding was comfortable, as was the bath. The breakfast was superb! What a nice change from the pre-made eggs & waffles at many "free breakfast" properties. The service was good - and the conversation at breakfast refreshingly different.

The food was amazing! The hosts are wonderful people, willing to help you plan your day. They have expert information on all means of transportation around the DC area and will take you and pick you up at the nearest metro station at your convenience! Malolo is amazing
What a wonderful place to spend a few days in on your trip to Washington. Rooms are spacious and the hosts are just super nice people. At breakfast there is a great choice both hot and cold. Would highly recommend this to anyone.

Delightful Bed and Breakfast
I stayed at Malolo Bed and Breakfast during a weekend trip to D.C where I was attending an event at RFK stadium. I choose Malolo because I was looking for something other than the typical hotel experience. This Bed and Breakfast had great food and was very clean. Both George and Dave were talkative, friendly and warm. They provided top notch hospitality. The location was very close to the stadium and a short drive to other local activities. It's definitely a place I look forward to staying at when visiting the DC area again.
