"Location was good next to mall with food court and restaurant. Staff was great. Breakfast was mediocre: coffee machine broke, only had packets of instant coffee. Food quality was passable. Room was clean and functional. Overall it’s fine for a night after a tour or cruise before departing from Heathrow in the morning."

"The staff were wonderful and very helpful. We had 2 breakfasts which had a lot of variety and the food was good. We ate dinner one night, the pot pie was excellent and my husband’s ham and eggs were very good. As far as the room, we booked a superior room located on the second floor. We had to move all of our big luggage via the stairs as there’s no elevators. The staff asked if we needed help and we declined it. The room had carpet with some major stains. There were no mirrors on the walls for me to finish my hair or make up. There is a lack of shelving in the bathroom to sit out toiletries, but we managed for a 2 night stay. With a few minor enhancements, I would have rated this hotel higher"

"This tavern/hotel is a great find for anyone looking to spend any time in Southampton. Less than a kilometre to the cruise ship terminal and is nestled in and amongst a lively neighbourhood of restaurants and bars. The rooms are well maintained and well appointed. The tavern has a great menu for all meals. The warm friendly staff were eager to assist with any inquiries."
